I really do. But nobody needs a mocha frappucino the size of their head. I innocently ordered a grande. A medium. A bit of a splurge for me, partly cause I don't need all the calories and partly cause I'm so caffeine sensitive I'd be wired for hours on the small size even if it is mostly milk and ice and sugar. This is the second time he's given me the venti (apparently italian for holy colossal gigantic) size when I ordered something much smaller. I only go in once a week (cause it's a treat) so it's not like I'm a super regular or anything. Today he smiled and said 'upsized just for you' so I'd have felt bad yelling and saying, NO that's not what I ordered!
Please starbucks guy. I don't need all this!

the whole bigger is better thing in the States always used to baffle me.... and bother me more often than not. i mean, presentation is a lovely thing... but more doesn't mean better, to me...

i just used to walk in and deliberately ask for "regular coffee" or water... used to give them the shits, everytime!

And as for the caffeine thing, yeah, for me it's pretty bad. If I have anything caffeinated past about 10am when I go to bed at night I'll toss and turn till 1am. I can do a weak tea around noon and still be ok usually, but I really have to be careful.
I also honestly get jittery and shaky if I have too much at once.

ok, so during the org invasion this year, we'll go to starbucks together and we'll order the same thing in grande size. loverboy will give you the venti and then we'll switch drinks when we're out of eyeshot! TOTAL SCAM!!!

of course, you'll need to get something out of this for it to be profitable. i'll buy you a scone or a cookie. but then i end up not really profiting from the scam. which, well, i guess works out karma-wise.

i need to re-think all this.
