Don't you hate the feeling...

You know that feeling when you feel so low and everything seems totally pointless? Absolutely everything in life is totally pointless? You might as well bide your time till death - hell, why wait?

Yeah, I got that now. It's shit. Where's some girl to flirt with or a whole load of drink? I'm bummed. sad

I would if I didn't live in the middle of the countryside with the only nearby place of social activity a pub full of retired men. It's shit.

No, it's not - it's far more deep seated than that. I've felt this way my entire life. It's my outlook, it's my way of looking at things, and it's depressing and shit.

lol
The brain cells associated with anxiety begin to die off in your early 20s - they can't replicate. That's why old people can pish themselves and masturbate at family gatherings (sometimes at the same time) - no insecurities means no fear. You have that to look forward to, so chin up, puff out your chest and develop a superiority complex like I did. You're smarter than the rest. Believe it.

Yes, but sometimes you can be 'fucked-up' without anxiety. Thanks for the advice nonetheless, I do enjoy cynnicism, it gives me a giggle.

Not to sound to smarmy or anything but you're mistranslating "depressant" - that refers to how alcohol slows down the transfer of chemicals over synapses in the nervous system.
It actually makes your brain feel great, that's why we, as animals, enjoy alcohol - in the same way that monkeys do. Since all we really are is animals.

And now you're speaking the language I speak in my head. The place I love to hide. The place I crawl into everyday; sometimes it makes me feel great, sometimes so alone, sometimes unhappy and sometimes nasty. I have too much of an affinity for it now I've found it to ever leave. It's the most creative side of myself I've ever found. I love it, but it's half the cause of all these problems.

We all get silly dark thoughts, man. You are living, breathing, walking, talking embodiment of your upbringing and your environment. We live in cynical, paranoid times where morals are built on sinking sands, where culture is disposable and recycled from greater glories. It's hard to know what's good and bad is a world which doesn't recognise justice or genius, so don't be so hard on yourself. Just keep kicking against the puritan, pious cunts who molest kittens with their mother's cutlery when no-one's looking and you'll, maybe, reach seom mishaped form of 'contentment'. That's all truly intelligent people have to look forward to, I'm afraid.

Please, if anything, don't become so delusional in thinking the problem's in a focused area. It is, but that 'area' is much larger than you know.
