How are you holding up over the Summer of no LOST?

Anyone dismayed by the Emmy Shut Out?

Anyone hear of any rumors for Season 3?

The DVD will now be out on it's original date of Sept 5.

Not sure when the show comes back on, but it'll be on for 6 off for 13 and then back for the rest of the season. Apparently, the first 6 will Arc with the Jack/Sawyer/Kate being taken with the Others (expect a scene very similar to what Claire experienced). It will also deal with exactly what happened when Desmond turned that key. There will be a looser arc for the entire season and I think thet will be with Penny looking for Desmond.

The Lost Experience was the Web Maze/Game (though it's not really a game) and is still going strong. I have a job and not a lot of patience to do it all as it is INVOLVED and incorporates things like messages in morse code, Korean and the occasional number string you have to decode. AND there is a LOT of viral marketing including Sprite, Jeep etc. Yuk!

The Book thing is Bad Twin by Gary Troupe in which the manuscript ended up in the hands of Hurley and Sawyer on LOST. I am reading it now. It's an easy read...though it's nothing special or integral to LOST.

What I gather is that since there is SO much in terms of topics to cover, the creators of LOST have decided o give fans "background" on stuff that will probably never be covered completely on the show...Like Hanso FOundation (WEB MAZE) and the Widmore Family (BAD TWIN). WHile here is nothing that is directly tied to the show and it's plot, you do get a sense of who and what these things are. It adds to the myth story they are creating.

I've heard that season 3 will explore what the island was like prior to the Dharma initiative - remember the foot statue. Also, more of the survivors that have been in the background will now be brought forward to join the main cast. We'll see a lot more about who The Others really are AND we'll be seeing more of - Libby.

Yeah I kinda agree just cause they did a pretty good job of wrapping up the finale. The only real hanging chad was is Locke and Ecko okay. They arent going to kill Locke obviously, and well Ecko doesnt really do much, so I really dont care either way with him

Libby in flashbacks will make em better I think. Back stories are going to take a back seat for Season 3

Desmond, Eko and Locke will be back.

You know the sad thing is that I really liked Libby. She wasn't an in your face type of character but it seemed like they were setting her up to be a complex/interesting person and then killed her off.

Also, supposedly Harold Perrineau is not a regular for next season... I'm curious if that means he actually escapes the island or if something more tragic happens to him.

I loved Libby too. I think many of them are way intertwined than we are beling led to believe. But still, I think that the Libby in the flashbacks could be cool. Are we to believe that she just happened to run into Desmond just happened have a boat and just happened to give it to him? A little too convenient if you ask me. And why oh why was she in the mental institution?

I'm on the fence with Michael's fate. If he does leave and gets home OK will he join forces and try to get them back as well? I really don't trust Henry Gale. He has LIED since day one. Never has told the truth. I have a hard time believing that they would just let Mike and Walt go like that. Many possibilities...like boat blowing up (though that would be stupid) or Walt is one of them now and will kill Mike, or Syied might follow the boat.

I heard rumors and I hope they are not true. But word is that the producers think that the show will go 4 seasons..5 tops and there has been speculation a Moview would follow soon after. HOPEFULLY it will not be "see this movie to get your answers" that would be SUCH a rip off. It should end and the Movie should explore an aspect of it.

There is so much story to the story that the audience is not privvy to, one could see Lost going into Movie installments. I could even see a movie being just about the island and ALL the inhabitants over time...or just about the others...or just about Hanso Foundation or even one about the families and friends left behind....maybe something is happening to them, we don't know about.

I dont think by the end of the show all the answers will be told. I think their going to leave some mysteries just for the fun of it.

I still want to know who/what killed the Pilot in the first season?

It is widely speculated that the monster killed the pilot. I sorta think that the PILOT episode was thought out way way before they actually knew all there is to know. Hence not even "seeing " the monster until the finale of season one..only to go WTF was that? It was Jack's character that was supposed to die like that...not the pilot.
