I got into it because one of my roommates and several of my friends at my school play it, and I was sick of not understanding what they were talking about all the time. It's so fun being one of the few girls in my guild, I get free stuff from time to time for no apparent reason.

Recharging is expensive. Get the hang of using soul gems and the soultrap spell asap. Oh, and find the Shrine of Azura. There, you can obtain a soul gem that you can reuse indefinitely.

Also, get the Skeleton Key. You'll never need another lockpick. I hated the whole lock-pick thing, but with the Skeleton Key (a lockpick that never breaks) you'll never need another pick.
