have you heard her new album? it's as much of a "coming out" statement as i think we're gonna get from her. "naked" is kind of a weird statement about how she doesn't have anything to hide but she's not going to expose herself the traditional way, but her lover shouldn't think less of her for being "different" in how she expresses herself. kind of a mindfuck of a coming-out statement, but i can respect it.

in another thread, i called joan jett a "lily tomlin lesbian" - as in, everyone knows and it's no secret, but it's not like she issued a press release about it. i don't think that's cowardly at all - i just think it's an organic way of being who you are. john waters never "came out", but we all know he's as queer as a catfart....well, i guess he came out a LITTLE in that simpsons episode. giggle
