It was hot today here, but then it rained, so I was craving something warm and soup-like for the rain, but still light enough to keep me from falling over in the nightime humidity. The pasta salad thingy doesn't really sound all that bleh...especially if it was hot over by you...I crave cold, salad-y foods on hot days. I would have made a cold penne salad for dinner (penne, hearts of palm, tomatoes, mozzerella, basil), but I cooked for a friend's birthday party and overdosed myself on all things Italian for at LEAST a week. It's a pity because I'm up to NECK in friggin risotto, fritatta wedges, antipasti, and enough homemade pesto to feed an army. It might be time for me to start delivering plates to neighbors Oh, good Lord. Don't you 'Good Lord' me, Missy. You need to be over here helping me get rid of some of this food !!! ...damn...it really is a reminder that I unfortunately need to spend my Friday night cleaning out my fridge

OMG, yes...I took the leftovers to work for lunch too...three of us ate ourselves silly! I didn't realize there was so much left over. The fattoush rocked!!!
