OK, I'm really not a square. I like to light it up with some drinks every now and again, but the crowd I roll with is getting a little out there. We went to a hookah bar last night and at one point five of my friends disappeared to do some lines. I didn't really feel any peer pressure or anything, because my friends know I'm not into that stuff, but I didn't know people really did coke anymore. I thought that kind of thing went out in the 80s or somethin'.




I don't have the same opinion on pot. I don't like it myself and I've never enjoyed it, but I don't mind people doing it that much. Although, it can't be good to be high(from coke, pot, whatever) and driving.

I have a friend who seems to be a coke fiend, one who was on crystal meth last summer to lose weight and one who seems to do anything he can find. He's been pushing his luck lately with driving when he really shouldn't be.

At the back of my mind, I was thinking this would be a good way to spread disease. Dumb. My throat is killing me!

I hate to say it, but it's probably time to find some new friends to hang around for a while. Hopefully, they'll go through this phase, get it out of their system and you can go back to hanging out again later. I've gone through social circles where that sort of thing has been accepted (pot, coke, meth, whatever) and while I didn't mind at the time, it's just not something I want to be around anymore. It's maybe cliche, but dammit I'm too old for that crap.
Of course, if they truly can hang out and have a good time without it and understand you don't wanna be around them when they do it, then that's another thing. But I don't think that's what we're really talking about here.

i dont like being around coke. weed is cool, cause it makes most people really cool and mellow and friendly. coke often makes people assholes.

Carrie, I TOTALLY agree with your post. Most of my friends that I used to hang out with and party with have outgrown the drug thing.Thank God, because these were friends I knew were going to be with me forever. The friends that didn't get over it eventually distanced themselves from all my other friends. They got in trouble or just decided that we were no longer fun.

My advice is. If anyone parties with friends and you're the driver please please please check the entire car for drugs after, and get rid of them. The cop that stops you is NOT going to believe it's not yours.
