My mother called again.... This time I answered the phone. Bad idea. She's that type that fires 500 questions at you and when you answer them she has 500 more for that question. Never one to let things be and trust her kids are doing fine, she must make sure everyone is good and then has quesitons about those things. Dude....I have been in transition within my company to shift to a bigger city and a different department. So not only am I stressing about all the channels that have to be cleared, this woman calls me all the time and then asks quesitons that cannot be answered and get me more anxious because she gets anxious that I can't answer them. I'm also moving in with my sister upon my arrival. Why did I do something like that. Now the both of us will have no peace. She meddles and gets in between us siblings and exaggerates and then gets us upset at each other, whilst Mom gets in further into our lives and starts more shit.

She called and asked what the last step was to my moving. Told her. Then asked...will that happen next week? Will you be able to leave next week? And I snapped back and said, I don't know, why don't you ask them? She hung up (secretly I was so happy she did!!)

I'm under unbelievable amounts of pressure right now. I'm about to be homeless...so to speak, I'm 29 and making a big career change, broke, and trying to go back to graduate school. She's like that negative self talk that questions your strength and possibilities. SHe's told me things that were messed up in the past, like I didn't have what it took to be in my field, didnt have the focus to continue school. Dude at one point, she told me to stop, it's too hard I want you to move back to Omaha, NE ( I live in NC now). ARE YOU serious?? When things got tough for her, she gave up. And inderectly she passes that insecurity on to us. She DRIVES ME NUTS!

And I'm taking my cupcake home to meet the family this fall. Oh yeah, we're getting hotel and staying one day. She just makes my stress exponential! Why can't she just chill, lay off, less intense. Perhaps say you know what to do, you'll be fine.

it sounds like mom has control issues, and is insecure for you. the change you're making, is something she would find hard to do herself, so she's transferring her anxieties about change, onto you. sounds like mom needs something else to do with her life, cept focus on you. lets get mom a hobby.

I just have to really ignore her phone calls and just face the wrath. Life will be peacefull that way Just hope "cupcake" won't think I'm just as nutty
