Thought "BB" was incredible. Love the acoustic guitar theme song, which gets used to tease/parody the film a lot but I think is beautiful.

wait, crash is derivative of Magnolia?
so does Magnolia get slammed for begin derivative of every single Robert Altman film then? i agree with xagain, brokeback was a dull..the acting was good but the two leads had zero chemistry which lead me to yawn through the whole thing... want to see two straight men have chemistry for each other in a film: Space for sale...

so does Magnolia get slammed for begin derivative of every single Robert Altman film then? somewhat.but that style can be traced before altman as well. anderson owes altman for the intercutting, but the dialogue, style, shots, and certainly the ending are not at all altman deriving. crash is filmed in a very similar manner to magnolia in its shots, style, and dialogue as well. even several of the characters are similar. Sorry, man. Although I haven't seen ALL of those movies, I have to strongly disagree with you on the films I DID see. Sin City better than Crash? And Munich was interesting, but not emotionally engaging. Even the little girl answering the bomb-rigged phone didn't come close to the little girl jumping into her father's arms to protect him from the bullet. TransAmerica was ok. Amusing, but not Best Picture. I haven't really put much stock in the Oscars, though, since "The Color Purple" lost in every category it was nominated in to "Out of Africa."
