I simply have to vent

She is driving me up the wall. pissed

Theres this girl in my class at uni who has always had this chip on her shoulder over the fact that Im 10 years younger than her, more intelligent, better at the work, and prettier and busier. :blah:

But now I have to work with her! bawl My work has taken her on, and surprise surprise she's not made a very good impression at all. She's just too much of a snob, shes rude to people and she doesnt have very good social skills confused

She's especially rude to me pout This is such a huge factor in my wanting to leave my perfectly good but boring and mature job nod They keep making me work alone with her, and the attitude she gives me, is unbelievable!

Thankyou for listening Org grouphug That'll be all!

Confront her. Assertiveness provokes a natural reaction of respect and fear in most people, apparently - I've just been studying this. nod

Tell her how you feel and then use some logical argument such as if you keep this up I'll make sure you fuck up your finals..considering we're working together and all nod

hug Thanks Ben. I have kind of confronted her, but its one of those wierd situations where she doesnt actually say anything negative, its just attitude.

I've been here over a year, I know the job and I have my own responsibilities, while shes still just the dogsbody - as I was nod We were out on site just the two of us the other day, and she was simply there to help me survey, just as I had helped the surveyors back in the day. But nooo, she cant handle that, because that means Im her superior rolleyes She was just being so cold and full of attitude all day, and eventually I was just like "can we just write it down please?!" which she did not like shrug

If someone spoke to me in the street the way she was on Thursday, they would not be standing upright for long. boxing

Oh, and, if I said anything she WOULD fuck up her finals nod Like I said, shes not as clever as me. Im not blowing my own horn, but its a fact. Ive been helping her from the start, and she never ever helps anyone else. I mean, she boasted and boasted about this coursework she got great marks in, but EVERYBODY knows the only reason she did was because the guy she flirts with gave her his answers! Shes crap at that subject!

Oh I just fucking hate her pissed

nod she does have problems. We feel sorry for her. She has to pick at everyone else to make herself feel better, and I dont even know if she realises she does it. Shes very attention seeking as well.

I just find it har dot focus on feeling sorry for her when shes making me miserable mad

I had a friend who got a great job straight out of uni. A couple of months later, her classmate was hired as her superior with close to double the pay! So she told her boss and he fired the other girl omg for falsifying credentials!

Nah, this is a work issue, she doesnt get in my way at uni, I just avoid her! Its just having to see her every day at work, and deal with her bitterness towards me brick

Besides, I may have posted on the org before but Ive decided to get a new job. I dont want to start my career right now, I want to bum around a bit and work in bars and shops for a while longer nod This is just too stressful! lol

hmmm

Honestly Mach I cant think of anything right now. She's the most self obsessed and stuck up person Ive ever met. She never seems to do anything nice! If I compliment her it'll only encourage her. Its not that people arent nice to her, everyone is. She has friends, family, stability...you know, the usual - which is why I dont think she realises just how mean and selfobsessed she's being.

But I know youre right nod So I will try. smile

This I believe, but I can TOTALLY see where Susannah's coming from about it just encouraging her.

The only thing you can do is act professional. When she is out of line at a job site. Politely remind her that she has a job to do. Then if she doesn't do it, document it and let her know you've documented it.

If she doesn't know she's coming across the way she is it's because no one is calling her on it. You can do that in a professional way. You'll feel better because you said what needed to be said. Then, if it's at all possible for her to have any personal growth and/or insight, she may grow from it.

But if that fails...Do what Tom said... just punch her in the face.

Thats very good advice, thanks nod And I mean the last bit too! lol

It's just kinda awkward, because we used to be semi-close. I mean we have spent time together, and told each other stuff, but she was always more open than me because I dont say much to those who arent in my inner-inner circle. But it made her feel close to me I think. But it was a crock, and she learnt that when I had a rough few months earlier in the year and stopped going to class - she was asking everyone where I was and what was wrong, but she was just so obviously being nosey. I dot think she has the capacity to understand psychological or emotional problems confused

Anyway *rambling* what i was trying to say is that its just hard for me to call her on it because she still talks to me like a kind-of friend, even though I dont want to be her friend, havent for over a year! She's just trying to get in about me, as we say here...

But I am trying to keep it strictly professional, I mean, it aint hard, I dont wanna talk to her!! lol I did call her on her attitude last week but she looked at ME like she had reason to punch me!! HA! I'd like to see her try falloff

That would certainly solve all your problems. You could knock her into the dirt and it would be self defense AND she'd get fired!!

I hate people like her. I worked w/ a gal that would leave me alone working a store for hours etc. I finally had to tell her...friend or no friend, that needs to stop now.

A couple of years later she got pulled over for dui and pulled a gun on a State Trooper and was pepperball'ed. She really was a mess.
