check prices at buydig.com, too. They have decent prices and were really good about customer service, etc.

If you'd like to drop the price a bit, go for the earlier model DSC-P100, it has less megapixels, but is still a FINE camera for a teen.

Perhaps look at Nikon's Coolpix models, but I really like the ergonomics of the Sony.
