`The View' adds Brandy as Reynolds stirs thing up

For fans of "The View," a little Brandy might help fill the void left by Star Jones Reynolds.

Singer/actress Brandy's rep tells People.com that she will guest-host on the ABC morning show next Wednesday and Friday. The former "Moesha" star is currently a judge on "America's Got Talent," an NBC reality show produced by "American Idol's" Simon Cowell.

"`America's Got Talent' has really opened a lot of doors for me," Brandy told People.com. "I want to do a lot more TV."

Other guest hosts include "One Life to Live's" Renee Goldsberry and "All My Children's" Susan Lucci.

In her first TV interview since leaving the show, Reynolds said she would not engage in a war of words with Barbara Walters, People.com reports.

"I will not denigrate Ms. Walters. That's not who I am," she told CNN's Larry King Thursday.

She expressed dismay that Walters had asked Rosie O'Donnell to join "The View" just days after Reynolds was told her contract would not be renewed. Reynolds termed the maneuver "strange in terms of timing."

O'Donnell had previously criticized Reynolds about her weight loss and other issues. "She went on a very public attack on me and my family," Reynolds told King.

Reynolds also told King that her bosses at ABC encouraged her to lie about the reason for her departure.

"They said, `You can make up a story,'" she said. "The audience didn't deserve for me to make up a story. That's not fair."

You know, she's actually really good on that Americas Next Talent show (or whatever it's called). Her and David Hasslehoff are kinda fun together. I wouldn't mind seeing her on The View.
