Nothing to do with cheapness; he just believes the films should speak for themselves. As for the mono, didn't even realize that, but it would be consistent with his tastes (e.g. no post-'40s music).

I heard Match Point didn't have any extras. sad I need a commentary with Scarlett and Woody. drooling

i doubt you will ever experience a woody allen DVD commentary. that seems completely alien to his existence. i'd expect to see a series of prince's vault outtakes sitting in the new release section of walmart before i'd expect something like that from woody.

If anyone could get Woody to do it, it would be her. She has become his muse/object of extreme interest.

I don't think I own 10 DVDs. confused

When DVDs first started coming out, I refused to buy a DVD player or DVDs, because I was sure that the DVD would be like the 8-track. I figured we'd just be downloading things and wouldn't need the media.

Yeah, well. lol

But I do Netflix. shrug I own Edward Scissorhands (mushy), Pirates of the Carribean . . . a couple of music ones (Prince, Charlotte Martin) . . . a comedy one. . . that's it!
oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I liked it. More than part one 'In The Mood For Love' which I thought was a little overlong.

One day you'll realise that most dvds don't require more than one or two views and you'll want to sell the lot!

I just cut down my dvd fetish from about 80 of them to about 30 of them... sold em on ebay.... waste of money, in my opinion.

disbelief

2046 was okay. Watch the aforementioned In the Mood for Love, and you will truly see the most gorgeous film. smile It's lovingly photographed.

I sometimes buy them if they are little gems that are so unknown and unappreciated that they might disappear from every single video store eventually. I feel like I'm rescuing them from oblivion.

lol That's so cute biggrin

Yea, the most popular dvd's I'll bother to buy is something like Chappelle's Show. But I almost never buy popular movies b/c they'll just get shown over & over on cable anyway... plus they often suck!
