yet another spider thread I opened up the mailbox today and looked in to see that my magazine had come; I'd been waiting for it for a while because it usually comes by now. So I was relieved that I wouldn't have to talk to the magazine people or anything...anyway, this gigantic spider crawled out of the mailbox just as I reached in and I swear the thing jumped so far I thought it was flying. The fact that I had a problem walking back up the driveway and getting back into the house tells people how terrified I am of spiders. Now I think it's hilarious; even though it just happened like an hour ago and I'm still shaking like a little kid. HE'S COMING AGAIN

If only I had been sane enough at that moment to kill the thing...but I don't like killing them when they're outside because that's their home...I'm weird like that. Then again, that was my mailbox. Does that count as being inside? HE'S COMING AGAIN

I know getting the mail will never be the same. I've seen one spider since the last spider thread and I hit it over and over with a piece of cardboard "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

I don't think I will enjoy getting the mail next time. I'll probably jump back twice my height if I see anything moving in the mailbox.
And I saw a spider since that thread...but I didn't kill it; I just kind of left the room and pretended I didn't see anything because I didn't feel like killing the thing. I seriously have a problem getting near them even to kill them; they make me insane. HE'S COMING AGAIN

I nearly killed my cat yesterday trying 2 save a spider.I found the spider in my bathroom and it was freaking my son out I took it outside on a piece of paper and put it on the ledge (I hate 2 kill anything,I just don't) anyway my cat came over and started batting at it with his paw so I pushed the cat away 2 stop him killing the spider and the cat fell off the ledge and landed all twisty backed on the floor and didn't move 4 a minute, frightened me 2 death-I thought i'd killed him. Time is a trick....

And it's bad luck to kill spiders. I used to have one that lived by my kitchen sink. (Of course if they are poisonous and in your house, then I guess you have to kill them, but otherwise I leave 'em alone.) The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

That looks like it could eat A LOT of bugs! The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

That looks like it could eat A LOT of bugs! yup and outside it could have thats my agreement with the spider goddess... they may stay outside my house if they come IN the choice to kill or rescue is then mine if it had not crossed into my personal space and startled me...i would have put it in a glass and then back outside
