I do. You all will think I'm crazy for saying this; but one beat the heck out of me while I was sleeping Wedsday night. I got three good smacks across my back, but I was too exausted to freak out. I gave it the finger, requested in a very stern manner for it to leave my bedroom, and that was that. I believe there are different kinds of ghosts though. To begin with, they're all restless souls, but I believe they have different personality traits. Some are simply lonely and act out for attention, some are gentle and reassuring, and some are downright evil. In my case I think I've only been approached by the ones who act out of lonliness and crave attention...a little on the mischievous side, but not really out to harm anyone. Oddly enough, being a person who believes in ghosts, i don't ever really feel threatened when they are in my current home. It's like you feel their presence, maybe in the form of brush of air tickling your neck or your arms, and I just kinda breathe into it and let them hang out. If I'm stressed about something though, and I find their presence bothersome, I just say it. Tell 'em to come back later. And they comply. For example, I'm online now at 2am in my home office, and Ihave a dvd player clicking on and off in the livingroom. I'm annoyed because I have tax stuff to do, so I don't want to hear that now, it's nerve wracking. So I just have to say- "STOP THAT PLEASE"...and that's that.

pout I hate ghosts but yeah I had that trouble with the remote control too, it automatically turned off during bad days. I think I attract the angry ones or sometimes or the very self-destructive ones. Bloody hell, it's evil when u can feel something wrong through ur veins.

Get off drugs already ppl ... it makes my ears bleed hmm

So we've got a non-believer, eh? It's all good. cool

lol.....Thanks ..... I think.

I love spooky stuff, but it does tend to bother me too. I am very alert so the slightest thing I will pick up on !!

I was at a psychic / medium evening a while ago and the person doing the readings picked me out and started to tell me about how I 'feel' things (which I do) and how I had the ability to percieve things as a pyschic / medium.

Scared the crap outta me !!!!

The wierd shit is, I went in very sceptical.....

have you always been that sensitive to feeling things? i don't thinki was aware of it for myself until i was in my teens maybe...
[Edited 6/30/06 17:17pm]

No - I have always been sensitive to a small degree, but, I started to be more aware after witnessing a plane crash at an Airshow some years ago - Kind of had a strange impact on me (Please refrain from any sick jokes) The plane was a Supermarine Spitfire, it was at Woodford Airshow many years ago (I do believe the plane is being restored in memory to the pilot who lost his life in it)

Anyway, after that I began to slowly become more attuned to things. I can be sitting here in the evening and will be aware of an uncomfortable presence, or pehaps of someone behind or to my side etc Just gentle things, nothing too sinister.

You guys have some neat stories... But I want to hear some really scary shit! Tell me you saw a ghost like Sadako or Samarra!

Scary (ish)

I worked on a dairy farm when I was 15 / 16 years old - one night in midwinter myself and another farmhand was walking through the Milking parlour when a Large piece of wood came crashing through one of the windows in teh ceiling and landed right in front of us. There was no wind and definitely no reason for a large (3ft by 2ft) wood to come sailing through the ceiling like that.

The farm was said to be haunted, I guess we found out firsst hand.

Oh and yes.....We nearly pissed our pants lol

Do you mean in the "out of body" experience sense?

I actually do not deny existence of any paranormal activity, I think there is so much more goes on in the Universe that we know little or nothing about.

Wow, I'm sitting here reading the spook thread and I turn on the tv. There happens to ba a Twilight Zone marathon on. eek coincidence? I think not...

Anyhoo, we have several "sensitives" in my family, including my youngest son. A few days after my grandmother died, a few of us were talking in the living room and he was playing on the floor behind the sofa, (he was 4 at the time). All of a sudden he chimes in, "I see grandma!". The room goes silent and I asked him where. He said "she's right there", pointing to the bedroom doorway. I asked him what she was doing and what she was wearing and he described her in a nightgown she hadn't worn in months, standing at the mirror over her dresser, (she had been bedridden for 2 months and could not stand). He described details no 4 year old would have thought to make up. eek He was seeing her before she became ill.

Nothing I said could convince my mother to sleep in that house for 2 weeks. lol

You ain't crazy. The same thing happened to my uncle. He had stopped doing drugs for a long time and was thinking about starting again. That night my uncle who died in the Korean War came to him in a dream, beat the sh*t outta him and told him he'd better not even think about it ever again. lol

SecretO

When my brother was about 7 months old my Mother reached into his crib as he lay sleeping to cover him up...suddenly a whistle came from his mouth the way a man might whistle at an attractive woman...mind you she was in her panties and bra. Needless to say she was shocked and horrified because shortly after he began to snore/breathe as if he was a grown man. She snapped out of it and grabbed him out of that crib and woke him up. Afterwards he behaved normally. It never happened again.

Oh shit yeah, they do exist! lol And they know when you r sleeping n they know when ur awake...they know when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake!! no no no!

And if it's not a ghost its someone up there revealing to you stuff you would otherwise logically not have known. That little instinctive voice...

Two new storiez if I haven't already shared em! Both happened at work! The city department store i work at is historical in it's own right. In my first week working there, i went scouting around for a new locker. The lockers are nowhere near as glossy as the shopping floorz and they are incredibly cold and almost like a dungeon actually! lol There are two rows of lockerz with very narrow walk ways. Anywayz, I was walking down to the very end when i noticed a long tall black shadow seemed to be moving past the back lockerz and the water cooler. I stood waiting- staff all wear black n I thought someone was about to come out and i wanted to step to the side to let them leave the room. I waited...and i was like hmm confuse ...nobody was there!! Strangely the locker that i got was the locker that i saw that black shadow move past! So bizarre.

ANOTHER little story...I was on the shopping floor when a woman approached my area. A lil voice told me 'this woman is associated with Judith White' - Judith White was one of the founders of the company i consult for. So i gave her a cheery hello and at first she seemed rather stand-offish but i got talking to her n slowly she became warmer and then said 'i actually used to work as Judith White's secretary...is she still with the company nowadays?' ME: omfg ...i couldn't believe it...i was about to say 'yes i sensed that' but i stopped myself thinking she'd be a little freaked out lol

So ghosts AND supernatural phenomena does certainly exist, absolutely.
