Outreach Association.

Telephone solicitors, although they call themselves a fundraising organization.

Exempt from the national 'Do Not Call' List. Which they practically taunt on their outgoing message.

I've received about 20 calls from them.

My phone company has failed to block their calls.

They are unrelenting asses.

Suggestions on how to destroy them?

mad

when I get annoying telemarketing calls, I start asking them what they're wearing, what do they look like, and make sounds like I'm really "digging" what
they're telling me. I tell them to slow down, and make moaning noises.

neutral They don't always pick up. When they have, I've told them repeatedly not to call. Sorry, but this is not funny. I want to destroy these guys.

I didn't actually "sell" anything, I gave away free vacations. All you have to do is come to our travel agency for a brief presentation, and bring a checkbook or major credit card! biggrin

Can't you sign up for that "national do not call list" thing. It works for us, for the most part. I'll ask hubby 4 the #.

In New York State, they make people who are disabled take any job they can physically do, so a lot of them end up as telemarketers. They lose their benefits if they don't accept the job. confused Then, if they take it, they lose part of their benefits because they have a job. sad

I wouldn't buy anything from them, but I'm never rude to them either. Most of them really don't want to have to call any more than we want to be bothered.

I don't really blame you if the same ones are calling you back all the time, that's crazy making.

You have no idea. I'm recovering from foot surgery and sometimes I have to hobble all the way to the phone to find out it's a telemarketer.

Well, I got the police to leave a nasty message for the solicitors. Next step would be Better Business Bureau. We'll see if these guys decide to push their luck and keep calling.

Just do what I used to do, when you get an unwanted telemarketing call, just put the phone down and let them talk all they want.

Eventually they figure out you are not on the phone and hang up, but in the meantime, you are waiting their time and keeping them from calling someone else (it is very satisfying to know they had to recite their entire written down speech for nothing and then at the very end you can hear "Hello....hello...")

That doesn't work. My whole problem with it is that I have to go across my house(and I'm recovering from foot surgery) to get what I think is an important call, and its these jerks. Also, they don't always say anything. Frequently, solicitors are calling to see what times you are at home so they can narrow down better times to reach you. Picking the phone up helps them. Not picking the phone up doesn't prevent them from calling.

Have you tried caller ID and a cordless phone?
