We have the same show over here, the British version. It's called 'Byker Grove'.

mad That's not what he says on the behind the scenes footage or to people on the street. I don't think he needs the money. He's kind of a big deal.

Hugh is...wealthy to say the least. Think of the royalties he still earns off his old material, plus what he was paid for it when he filmed it. Hugh was wealthy before he started house, otherwise how could he send a son to Eton on full fees? (almost $60k/year if you're paying the full load)

I like Hugh Laurie - the actor - but every interview I've ever read of him, he's moaning away about something. Miserable censored.

Maybe he's happier now the big bucks are rolling in. lol

Yes, dear. That kind of English. I was taught an interesting proposal that you're accent, the american accent, is what all British folk sounded like in the 17th/18th centuries when we went to America...since then our accent over here has developed and you guys sounds like, but don't use the same vocab as, we did back then.

Interesting, non?

That makes sense to me. It's not like they came over here and suddenly sounded completely different. It took time. Ya know, we were close to having German as our language. Can you imagine the power The Baumeister would wield now if that had happened?
