i noticed recently that the chicago public library is putting their books on tape online for download. very cool idea.
i liked the NYC public library when i lived there, and i like chicago's library, but i still say the indianapolis public library kicks 'em both in the nads. for indiana, the collection is extremely impressive, and the main branch downtown is beautiful and super well-maintained. and that may be the only time i ever compliment indiana.

I hear the university of chicago has a pretty impresive library. I think public libraries are great and really one of the best things our society has to offer.
