She is? I don't think any of them are. She made an unscheduled announcement that she was leaving, then went right to the media afterwards to say she was fired for no good reason. She's obnoxious, they're obnoxious, and if the show's always been this dumb I wish I woulda watched it. I do, however, relish the thought of Rosie getting into debates with Elizabeth Hasselbeck(sp?). Elizabeth cant think on her own...all she ever does is spew republican spin...Rosie is going to eat her alive...The few times Meredith or Joy forced her to expand her views she always looked like this: Space for sale...

We live in a society where Ted Nugent can become a rock star again, where Tommy Lee can start a new band and get a tv show, where Paris Hilton and Brooke Hogan can make albums, while bands like Interpol and the Church are in the shadows of obscurity. Of course she will get another job. She will probably get a better one, make a bunch more money and become a big star. This is how sick this society has become. We are a society of personality robots. These people always win...don't you understand. Am I sounding paranoid enough for you? lol.
Star will be a big star and we will cringe. I'm going to see The Church this month!

Oh yeah...totally...but, as you know, the majority of Italians are Catholics...and so is Joy... Behar frequently incorporates her Italian-American culture into her comedy and once told Charlie Rose on his PBS program that her grandmother kept a picture of Mussolini in her home. She is mistakenly thought to be Jewish, and has quipped that she is pleased to be "an honorary Jew." Her first husband was actually a Sephardic Jew (by whom she has one daughter), but that marriage did not last. Behar wryly referred to herself on one occasion as the "shiksa non grata" of his family. Behar's long-time boyfriend, Steve, is also Jewish. She once carried the Jewish issue to an amusing extreme, as she reported a phone conversation she had: "No, I'm not Jewish. I'm not Jewish. I keep telling you, Ma, I'm not Jewish!". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joy_Behar People often think I'm Jewish too...and I love being an honorary Jew! [Edited 6/29/06 7:25am]

They weren't going to renew her contract, that seems very clear. They just wanted her to make the announcement two days later and if anything, not make it seem as bad as it was. And the fact is that she made herself look stupid but at the same time kind of a victim. Star should have been honest about what was going on if she really wants people's sympathy.

And the fact is that she made herself look stupid but at the same time kind of a victim. Star should have been honest about what was going on if she really wants people's sympathy. I don't think it was about making herself seem like a victim. *That* never has seemed to be her style. She just wanted to get ahead of the story cycle that ABC's execs and Barbara Walters thought they owned. Star was making a point (what follows are my words, not hers. Don't get it twisted -- she's a lawyer. Let me be clear): "You don't own me, ABC, and you certainly aren't going to dictate my actions. What will you do -- fire me? You already have!!!" Now, for Walters to act as though Star betrayed them is pretty quaint. It's business, plain and simple. What Walters is engaging in now is damage control. Jones' comments about "the direction of the show" are nebulous. I wonder what she meant. With her and Viera gone, ABC will be hard-pressed to keep its viewers. And, with O'Donnell's addition, I suspect "The View" will up its squabble quotient fairly significantly next season, using her and that GOP child as poles. With Behar doing her amusing schtick, too, there won't be much room for moderation. Walters will come off like a vain old stick in the mud. Jones' firing likely is a blessing for her.

That's just crazy! Star Jones was the biggest part of The View.
incase you missed it, that was a joke, please go back and read it again. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

And now it gets worst for Barbara... Larry king just had Star on and he read quotes from the big wigs @ ABC.... They said that they informed Barbara in november that Star's contract wasn't going to be renewed and she didn't mentioned anything to Star until April... Star told Larry that she read a blurb in the paper in november about her losing her job and asked Barbara if was true that she was going to be fired and was told that she had not heard anything about it...
