Now that old scrag Walters has gone public saying Star did not leave with dignity and that her and Star were going to announce her departure together and Star did it on her own. Walters is just pissed because things didn't go the way she wanted. I can't stand any of those women but i am glad Star stuck it to her.

Who stuck it to whom? Star's out of a job. lol

She was out of a job anyways. But instead of going out on that scrag's terms she went out on her own.

I really don't care. lol I've not watched a single episode of the show. I just know that Star's blabbing to the media, Barbara's yammerin' away...and everyone's eating it up. It all woulda made a better episode of The Richard Bey Show.

That's Ok. I'm not a fan of her music, though.

I think it was a bad move to get rid of her and it's as if Rome is burning. One star leaves so get rid of another (pun not intended). If anything, it would have been interesting to see one fatty duke it out with a former big girl. I always thought people just picked on Star because she was fat and black but if you hear her talk in interviews and shit, she really is full of crap!

rolleyes :disgust: Grow up.

Oh, I bet Rosie would be brave enough to call herself the f-word and is probably proud of it, which makes her cool. Now Star is uncool because she lost weight through sugery and is too chicken shit to admit it.

Damn, this heffa is full of herself. She's more annoying than Oprah, Michael Jackson, Rush, J-Ho, Paris Hilton & Ann Coulter all rolled into one.

"StarandAl.com " - b!tch please. Hey Star, don't you realize folks are laughing behind your back about this sham of a marriage?

I think Star Jones is the type of celebrity who makes people uneasy.

She came to The View an accomplished attorney who already had TV experience. She'd proven herself. "The View" didn't define or create her -- it just provided a platform for her to do what she always has done: excel.

But Star's substance conflicted with the way a lot of American TV viewers think someone who looked like she used to should be. On TV, overweight black women don't usually have law degrees, upward mobility, wealthy families and strong opinions. They certainly don't speak with Star's authority or -- as much as I hate to say it -- articulation and clarity.

So, here's someone as smart as -- or smarter than -- her co-hosts. Yes, she went overboard with a wedding that most people suspect is as fake as Tom Cruise's arrangement with Katie Holmes. Granted, she can be extremely overbearing.

I think the biggest problem with Star is that she surpassed America's expectations of her -- in a way that wasn't necessarily familiar or, honestly, welcome.

They were expecting a fat, black woman who would roll her eyes and talk about her babydaddy...

Right down to the very end, Star has stayed true to herself and has gotten what she wants. I salute her "surprise" announcement. She will land on her feet and continue to do her thing.

Like I said, Jones can go overboard (and certainly did with her wedding). But, why is Walters handling it so horribly? I think it goes back to what I posted.

In a sense, Jones didn't "know her place."

Like Kathy Lee, Star thinks she's all that and she's not. Wish I could make them all disappear.

I laugh my ass off every time I see a pic of Star & Al holding hands. Maybe Star's good with a strap-on, who knows?

Say it! Folks who watch "The View" have too much free time on their hands. It's nothing but a bunch of cackling hens talking loud and saying nothing.

Star Jones = low self-esteem heffa. Why would she marry a gay man? How pathetic is that?

What do you mean she is out of a job? Don't you understand how this pop culture, cult of personality thing works yet? We live in a society where Ted Nugent can become a rock star again, where Tommy Lee can start a new band and get a tv show, where Paris Hilton and Brooke Hogan can make albums, while bands like Interpol and the Church are in the shadows of obscurity. Of course she will get another job. She will probably get a better one, make a bunch more money and become a big star. This is how sick this society has become. We are a society of personality robots. These people always win...don't you understand. Am I sounding paranoid enough for you? lol.

Star will be a big star and we will cringe.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

She is? I don't think any of them are. lol She made an unscheduled announcement that she was leaving, then went right to the media afterwards to say she was fired for no good reason. She's obnoxious, they're obnoxious, and if the show's always been this dumb I wish I woulda watched it. I do, however, relish the thought of Rosie getting into debates with Elizabeth Hasselbeck(sp?).
