I overwhelmingly have a preference for women with darker skin, from golden brown to very dark. I do think some light skinned women are attractive, of course, but they never 'do it' for me in that particular way that causes physical attraction. For example, I could never be physically attracted in that way to a pale skinned woman with blonde hair, though I don't really know why. The same would go for light-skinned Asian girls, despite my attraction generally to Asian women. It's just preference. Nothing wrong with that. There are all kinds of beautiful women and sometimes we just really go for some kinds more than others.

You know what's weird? How a lot of times you end up being attracted to people you swear you would never be attracted to. I LOVE mixed/ethnic guys. Guys who are filipino/latin/black, all mixed together or not, but there is this BEAUTIFUL guy I see at my job all the time. And what's crazy is that I'm mad about him, but he doesn't fit my "type". He's 6'2, brown hair, green eyes, clean cut preppy athletic build white guy. Anybody who knows me would tell ya'll that I've sworn up and down I would never date a guy like that. The stereotypical white guy. But every time I see him my heart flies out my mouth, my stomach drops, I check my face in the mirror and apply some chap stick and put gum in my mouth and attempt to seem interesting to him. And so far it seems to be working. And he'll leave and says things like "Hope to see you sometime." "Next time I see you in my car, I'll wave or stop." "See you around." "So I guess I'll see you when I go jogging or something." And we make crazy eye contact. Well, I can't look into his eyes without fighting the urge to jump all over him. He always starts a conversation with me and asks me how I'm doing and such. But I can't really tell if he's interested in me or not. I mean, am I stupid? Is it obvious he is? Or is it just wishful thinking. But there is chemistry between us. Oy. Sorry. Didn't mean to make this thread about me.

It could be a fetish, or not. Maybe you're just on a fine line between fetish and preference.
