yeah he is fine...he is from the midwest so he is used to the humidity and hot weather though, however living out here for awhile he has gotten used to the weather here more, and he does not love the heat and humidity like I do. His hair I am not sure, I did not see him before he left for work this morning, so I don't know how its looking today to be honest. smile

Oh, holy fuck, it's hot. . .

So, it's 90 here, but I guess Portland is 102 today. omfg I almost spent a long weekend down there. Thank gawd I didn't.

And to all of you bitches who are gonna be like, "oh, 90 degrees, who cares", let me point out that almost nobody in Seattle has air conditioning. Some restaurants and many stores do, but for us poor people, well, we have water. AND our houses are designed to face the sun and stay warm, not avoid it and stay cool. I took three cold baths yesterday, and I just came home from work and jumped in to a cold shower with my poor dog.

lol I actually use TIGI Bed Head Manipulator for styling, and it holds up very well. However, I spent most of the day in an air-conditioned office tower. boxed I caught the first trolleybus of the day to work (5:18 a.m.), before it got too hot, because I had a matter before the Office of Administrative Hearings -- essentially a one-day bench trial.

Unfortunately, appearing before a judge means that I need to wear a suit, and after returning to our office suite (which has no A/C -- it was built in the 1920s) for a few hours and then heading home, I took a much-needed cool shower. storm

my computer has a built in weather watcher for Melbourne and it tells me that is the temp, but I only know celsius, so I can't even tell if it's accurate

Farenheit Celsius
0.00 -17.78
8.00 -13.33
16.00 -8.89
24.00 -4.44
32.00 0.00
40.00 4.44
48.00 8.89
56.00 13.33
64.00 17.78
72.00 22.22
80.00 26.67
88.00 31.11
96.00 35.56

Or, to convert:
Take the temperature in Fahrenheit subtract 32.
Divide by 1.8.
The result is degrees Celsius.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a way to switch between scales. I have AccuWeather.com's "widget" running as part of my Mac OS X 10.4 Dashboard, and to change either the city or the temperature scale, you just click on the lower-right-hand corner to flip it over and view/change the settings.

There's no doubt that metric units are easier to deal with, at least when it comes to doing calculations, but I'm stuck in my ways. sad For example, if I drive up north into Canada, and a road sign says that the speed limit is 100 km/h, I'll convert that in my head to roughly 60 mph, even though American car speedometers have both English and metric markings (with the latter being less prominent).
