If i had a kid i think i would want a boy. The only reason i would want a girl is to bring her up with modern day values and not expect men to bow down to her. I think that's the problem with a lot of women. Their momma's did not teach them right.

Okay, so I totally only read like the first page and the last page of this thread, but it's been floating around 4EVER.

But about what U just said Spats, U were rite on, about the bringing your daughter up with modern day values.

That is the problem with a lot of women rite now. They weren't expected to be anything but a debutant house wife. In that way they were brought up to be dependant on a man for everything. All it does is hurt a lot of these women in the long run. Nothing is theirs, and they are left living to cater to their husbands and children, with really no other direction.

I don't know what you wrote through out the rest of the thread that has everybody so worked up, but U were rite on with that last bit.

So, so, SO true. If one guy is being a pain in the ass (especially this early in the game) it's pretty damn easy to just move on to the next guy that wants to be with you.

Well she didn't appear to be looking elsewhere. There is something about me she likes. It's either the playing hard to get or the fact i have been told I resemble Keanu Reeves.

I'm not saying that she is not interested in you, she obviously likes you...but the fact of the matter is she has lots of options and if she decides that you are too high maintenance, she can easily find someone new.

And really, you have no idea whether she is looking elsewhere or not. She's not gonna make that obvious.

Hopefully all of the relatively new mama's out there are raising their daughters right or nothing is going to change. And in 20 years they will still be expecting the guy to do all pursuing, etc, etc.

Well now ya just lost me. My daughter ain't gonna be calling ANY guy. He will call her, or that's his darn loss.

BUT! She will be taught to develop HER life FIRST, then worry about a incorporating a man into. Not vice versa.

Because she is gonna have some non "modern day" ettiquete (can't spell) and NOT asking guys out is gonna be one of them.

She will be treated like the Queen that she is.

If she likes a guy flirting till he asks her out will do. She doesn't need to ask him.

Well then you are contributing to one of women's major problems. Women are not gonna progress at all still doing that stuff. And guys are still gonna have to do that stupid shit until the end of time.

Some stuff is just better left untouched.

My daughter will be educated, and taught to have morals, and to set HIGH standards. But she is NOT gonna be taught to chase around some dumb guy.

If she likes the guy, she can get him to ask her out. wink

How about if people like someone they just ask them out, both guy or girl. That is truly "modern day" thinking.

Waiting around for someone to make a move is just silly...regardless of who is doing the waiting.

Equality doesn't equal asking a guy out necessarily. I still think women should be pampered by their man.

AND AS OTHERS HERE HAVE TOLD YOU...

Some women prefer a guy to take the initiative, show some leadership, and make the move. You won't be surprised to learn that women aren't attracted to wussies who sit around sending mixed signals and waiting for things to happen.

Your 'methods' may have worked in the past but your strike rate with women is almost certainly very low. If all you want is 'sacktime' on the regular then there are more successful ways of going about your business. Running away whenever your girl calls and taking refuge in the Org ain't one of them.

Don't be afraid to be a man. wink
