Gummo

actually, among my friends, "gummo" has become the backwoods equivalent word to "ghetto". one time a friend came over and saw a bunch of stuff piled up in my closet and said, "you need to clean that shit out, it's getting all gummo-styley in there." lol redface

Can you name any so called 'ghetto' movie that does not a have a black cast or black cast members?

i did.. Gummo..Julian DonkeyBoy is another one.

julian donkey-boy isn't really the same thing. it's more of a washed-out '70s vibe. in fact, it's meant to be a take-off on that movie "the great santini".

you hit the mark with "gummo", though.

Are the ghettos in America portrayed accuratetly in these films?
They seem to be quite scary places.
Would a white person go happily into these areas?

excuse my ignorance but all this gang culture fascinates me a wee bit.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

I never saw Gummo...the previews freaked me out and I was afraid to.

PALINDROME was another indie movie that was ghetto as HELL. It starred Ellen Barkin as the mother of an little girl obsessed with getting pregnant, and the daughter was played by a multi-racial cast of EIGHT diffrent actresses...she ended up running away with a man who had molested her...it was just GHETTO and surreal and BIZARRE...the acting was good though. But it was still ghetto eek
