My sense of humor is totally twisted, I admit that shit.

Honestly, it's the whole yin and yang thing again. We all need balance in our lives. I'm a ROCK when it comes to responsibility and parenthood. However, 50% of the time they are not with me, so those are the times I can be the idiot I am at heart.

Well it is absofreakinlutely fantastic that you aren't an idiot all the time like many fathers who really never take into account their kids at all. That sets you apart as miles ahead of the pack nod

Yeah!

You do realize I'm not kidding about that right? I'm seriously one of those guys that just wanted NOTHING to do with anyone gay. Pretty judgemental on my part.

Now I even have a close female friend in REAL life that is living with another woman. The last male she dated was me.

I think so too. But shhh ! Don't tell him that.

nod

we all do that some, i think. i know i certainly do.

i actually had a long conversation about it several years back with someone that i never got along with, but was constantly around during high school. we were both in theatre production together, and mutual friends had us around each other a lot. one night at a party we were both at some years after high school, we started talking about it, and he said part of the reason he didnt like me was because i talked about being gya a lot. i pointed out that partially it was because i refuse to soft-sell my life when talking about it for the comfort of other people, especially when no one expects the same of heterosexuality, but mostly because it was the only way people would take me seriously. i could be saying something tremendously profound in high school, and no one would listen. the moment i said the word 'gay, all ears and eyes were on me in rapt attention. so i would give them what they wanted. i then pointed out it was pretty much the same with him. he is a very intelligent peron, and a tremendous poetry writer and artist, but unless it was about him being a punk, no one cared, and he played into that as well. i pointed out that we were both kind of trained monkeys in high school, dancing for the crowd, while hiding our deeper personalities, wearing the stereotype masks.

it kinda knocked him for a loop for a second, and he totally was in awe of it, since he had never realized that.

now we're actually great friends.
