I'm in sunny Phoenix Az. I understand it being too sunny to go outside!

I like being at the beach best.

But I'd rather swim in a pool!

I agree. The beaches in this part of the world are lake beaches, and most of the time the lakes are full of algae and not very pleasant to swim in. However, the beach still beats the pool as far as...umm...sight-seeing. smile

I like both too. Pools are good for swimming laps and playing, but beaches are wonderful even if you don't swim. We have many good beaches here, play all day and then have bonfires at night, it's a great way to spend the summer.

I enjoy beaches very much, but not in the summer. I burn too easily to spend any time in the sun. pout Which pretty much leaves out outdoor swimming of any kind.

With the new hair color...do you have to be careful around the sun, and chlorine?

lol My hair is colored all year round. But yes, being in the sun will help it fade faster and chlorine? Forget it! Not to say I wouldn't ever go swimming in a pool, but I think I've been swimming maybe 3 times in the last 5 years. And reds fade very quickly as it is.
Also - I do have quite pale skin, but I also have quite nice skin. I am often complimented on it and I keep being told I look younger than I am so I'm always extra conscious of that too, stay outta the sun, moisturize, I wear sunblock every day, etc.

My birthday was fun. Yes, Johanna was there. No, she has no idea who jersey is. I forgot to take pictures. I guess I was having too good a time. My sangria was excellent and after a few hours we went to a wine bar and then a few other places around Uptown.

Some do. I'd hazard a guess that not as many do (or at least not as intensely), but it's probably pretty close.

It was a very small, beautiful and a peaceful beach on an island I used to live on for a few years. It was a very wealthy neighbourhood with lots of sailboats etc. around. Somehow I myself had ended up there as well.

The beach was completely empty except for the sunniest days so I could have it often all for myself. I used to draw there and just sit and stare at the ocean for hours. I miss the beach, I don't miss the rest of the place.

mushy sigh That for me would be paradise! I absolutely adore the beach!!
