Beach! First.

Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

I like being at the beach best.

But I'd rather swim in a pool!

Oh, the beach, definitely. Especially if it's right by the ocean; that's where I get my energy and feel genuinely free. I hate the sand that gets in everywhere though. Every night when I go to bed I have to brush off a whole friggin desert from my sheets.

sprinkling some baby powder on your skin helps remove the sand easily

I used to live by the beach so I went there pretty much everyday (though I never actually went swimming). Now I live in the suburbs far way from the sea, which is kind of strange getting used to. Though there are less irritating rich bastards around.

does that mean that there are still rich bastards around, but the degree to which they're irritating is less, or does it mean that the quantity of irritating rich bastards is less...?

There are less irritating rich bastards living in the suburbs, naturally.

It was a very small, beautiful and a peaceful beach on an island I used to live on for a few years. It was a very wealthy neighbourhood with lots of sailboats etc. around. Somehow I myself had ended up there as well.

The beach was completely empty except for the sunniest days so I could have it often all for myself. I used to draw there and just sit and stare at the ocean for hours. I miss the beach, I don't miss the rest of the place.

And then I'll have baby powder in my bed instead...which will probably stick because of the crazy humidity here. Maybe I should just stay under the fan all day and fiddle with my navel lint.

Don't worry, I love the widescreen format. I crop all my pictures that way these days, no matter if it's of a horizon or a friggin' skyscraper. lol

It looks very Scandinavian. Could well have been in Sweden. I'm guessing the water is shallow really far out too, right?

I wouldn't know for sure, but I guess so. I never swam there myself.

The picture is a panorama I found from the web. It doesn't quite capture the place though, it's shot from too low. It was quite an impressive place when you stared right at the sea, as there was nothing to block the horizon. Incredible at night times. Most beautiful during storms I think.
