This woman at work is always gossiping, she talks about everyone...natter..natter..natter. "Did you hear about so and so, he's this and he's that...she's always working late with you know who..blah blah blah."

Now If someone is going to tell me gossip I might listen BUT I dont add 2 + 2 and come up with five and then tell 200 other people. She goes on lunch with this other woman who is hunched over and glares at you scarily. Anyhow, I bet all they do is gossip about everyone.

if its harmless then whatever....but this woman is downright mean. Ive never met anyone quite so devoid of empathy in my life. Somebody will mention something innocently like "I was talking to such and such and he had some good news, and she's " oh he doesn't deserve it...he's blah blah blah.." its unbelievable, what spews out of her trap. I cant stand her.

One of my close friend's boyfriend is one of the worst gossips and is horribly judgemental and will talk loudly about other people while they may only be standing 5 feet away.
After years of hardly being able to stand being around him, I finally told him he needed to learn how to behave in public. And he's actually working on it!

I think gossip is generally harmless, it's human nature to be interested in the goings on of those around us, but when it gets judge-y or things that are really no one's business, then it really bothers me.

word on the street is the reason ella doesn't post anymore is because her prosthetic hand got repoed....she was late on the lease payments

not really. sometimes's it's just casual conversation. oh, I bumped into steve the other day, he and sharon bought a new car, that kind of thing. and of course when it comes to close friends there are the stories that are juicy and you know you're allowed to share cause they would themselves.
