Remember "last action hero"? I love this film.
It pretty much destroyed Arnies career (in the long term). Great idea for a film, even if it does stir an odd mix of family film and ur typical action film feast. Of course, it pokes fun at such films Arnie has been in, and this clever film, to me, never gets the appreciation it deserves. Maybe arnie making fun of arnie was just too pretensious for critics to take, but it was one of the last of its kind, and its ironic, in how it basically kills off these sorta action films Charles dance was great in it too.

That movie was OK. U didn't like the first 2 terminators? I really think this movie ain't as bad as the reviews it seems to get. People gloss over all of arnies films (barring terminator movies), but for story alone, it deserves some credit.

Best line from that movie:
"He was a good man... a flatulent man."

"He was a good man... a flatulent man." haha, good one. That scene "rocked". The kid coulda been a bit less irritating. That whole early 90's smart ass look was annoying, but it coulda been mcCualey kulkin and he coulda been worse i guess. Funny that sir iam mckellen is in it.

I dont have it, but i got the def leppard song from the soundtrack, "two steps behind". I bet u hate that song, but i like it. I read a review on the soundtrack and even that said the soundtrack was the last of its kind. As rock music was going grunge, this was the last hurrah for bands like def leppard, ac/dc etc.....

Damn, what an odd combo. Stallone has done some odd movies. "escape to victory", which UK film fans might know, has pele, michael caine and stallone, all playing football together. WTF? And Lilgish, iam surprised u liked that def leppard song, it is a rock ballad after all. "commando" is great, and hey, allysa is very young in that film Lilgish. I know i've bene bad, but thats gary glitter bad if i had feelings for her in that movie

Last Action Hero was a very clever movie and unfairly neglected by stupid joe public. It had a great script and John McTiernan's direction was ace and ahead of its time. It was a brave movie with lots of references to pop culture from past and present. Peeps just did not get it at the time and is now something of a cult fave, alongside Tremors and Buckaroo Banzai

I hated that film, but I had an English professor who thought it was genius. The fake Hamlet movie at the very beginning was funny.
