Pillow Talk.

Pillows, soft and fluffy or firm or what? What's a good pillow?

depends on where it goes..
I like one kind of fluffy hypo-allergenic under my head- a small travel pillow to cuddle and a long firm pillow between my knees.

Fluffy but firm. Or I need a stack of them. I use about 3 pillows each night.

That's not a good idea.

Let's say for the sake of argument that one is feeling a bit 'insatiable this week-end.

One might need a big soft pillow to serve as a buffer between one's head & the headboard.
Or else one could serious hurt one's noggin to the point where some crazy old lady's hex might come true.

I'm just sayin'.

I rarely get 'insatiable' on beds lately. smile But your concern is truly heartwarming.

That's the type of pillow I have now. I find it, although very comfortable, unrelenting, warm and unyelding.

I do 2... lol! 2 of the above pillows - and that brand stays cool and they can b shaped, I can't stand hot and unyielding either - 3 other regular king size pillows all around me and I use them all at some point, a large body pillow, a small dogbone type pillow... and a couple throw pillows. lol! eek (I think I might need therapy 4 this now that I am typing it out, lol The thing is everyone I know has somewhere near the same setup. So we're all pillow-challenged.)

I find what also works is having a memory foam matress topper, the thicker the better. It really relieves pressure on the stress points in the body. Also try meditating. I'd love 2 have a memory foam bed (I have really bad fibromyalgia) but I can't afford one. When I can, I think then I will know true restfull sleep again.

Until then, I pad. wink

I am the queen of pillows lol I have so many in my king sized bed that my husband has to sleep elsewhere. I used to always sleep on my tummy so one superflat pillow was all I needed. Pregnancy changed all that! confused not just for the obvious reason, but neck and shoulder pain now force me to lie on my side with arms stretched out parallel, perpendicular to my body. To achieve this I:
- have 2 pillows under my head, one medium high/firm and one fat goosedown one which mould into the right shape.
- have 2-3 pillows between my arms to keep them exactly parallel
– 1 between knees down to ankles.
If I organise them all just so, I fall asleep at the drop of a hat.

Holidays are hell bawl

Byron, at that hotel you went to can you have as many pillows as you want? Would someone like me have been catered for? boxed

I like pillows that stay cool in the night. The ones where you don't have to break your sleep to keep turning over at 3am in the morning.

A fluffy one with a velvet cover...that'd be really nice. cloud9 But really, as if. So I like two fluffy ones, but not so fluffy that I put my head on it and my head disappears in the depths of the pillow's fluffiness. lol

I KNOW, right? Yep, I have 2 get one of them one day... nod nod nod I mean, as it is now - I go 2 sleep in pain and wake up in pain. I blame it on all the years of dancing the night away and the crazy dance moves of the 80's (Anyone remember the "headache"? It should have been called when U get older this is gonna cost U u'r neck pain, lol!lol)

Anyway, Thank U 4 confirming it's quality 4 me. cool It's definitely a must now.

I think so, yeah... nod...You could get more than one type and more than one pillow. I had two perfectly cooled down feather pillows which cradled my head perfectly... cloud9

I've been thinking about getting one of those but I am afraid they are hot. Do they breath?
