On my morning bank run for work, I encountered a nice-enough-looking elderly Native American woman standing next to The Bohemian's newspaper stand. And that's what she told me. I just smiled, said "What?" and continued to my car. Discuss. Have you ever been told your life would soon be over? And well, was it? Should I believe her? may not mean your physical life will end is there any aspect in your life ..inside or outside that needs to die off so that new growth can happen ? just saying ...

Does Insatiable really need to question her life because of this lady? Just a thought. who knows how many people she said the same thing to that day, we dont know for sure but theres always the possibility that it was just a lady letting off steam or blurting out stuff to anyone who happened to catch her eye. . I wouldnt place the importance on the stranger myself ... and no, no one needs to question their life because of anything another says to them Insatible asked in a public forum for opinions on it ... that's just my opinion

Why the heck would a total stranger say that to you? I probably would have looked at her, laughed, and said, "Whatever!" and walked away. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

UPDATE. Still kicking. Had some mild asthma earlier which had me going for a minute, but I fought it off with my trusty inhaler.
I'll try and let you guys know if anything happens while I'm online pretending to do my homework. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

We're bombarded with meaning all the time and can become de-sentisized to it. How do we measure the value of all these messages and hope that we've acted on the one or ones that are trying to communicate something that will help us to grow as human beings.

About six months ago, I went to buy a pair of tickets from the theatre in the afternoon in London. As I walked out there was this asian gent, mid-40's, turban, beard, dressed in what would be termed as "retro western clothing" looking relaxed on a bench, about 20m away from the theatre entrance doors. He looked at me, I glanced at him and proceeded to continue with my journey home. Then he calls toward my direction, twice, in a language he just ASSUMED I may happen to speak. I walked over to him as a sign of respect to see what he wanted (it's a cultural custom). All of a sudden he started asking me a few fairly personal questions such as where I was from, are you this background, are you that background, etc (this may sound a little brazen for a stranger to be asking another stranger but that's the way it was ) I answered in as little detail as possible without wishing to show any disdain. Then he just came out with, "From reading the lines on your forehead I can tell you are in a unhappy relationship with your girlfriend" I was like, laters I ain't taking that. Straight away I took a detour to Boots on my way home to buy some anti-wringle cream for my brow. True story (apart from the last sentance). "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

I reckon he wanted to introduce you to his daughter "I have found a nice boy for you who goes to the theatre."
