I had all 4 pulled when I was 32 years old. I was completely out during the procedure. I do not remember the drive home or my husband going throught the drive through of the pharmacy to get my pain pills. He said I talked to him... He dropped me off at home and went to work. I went in and laid down and slept for 6 hours- got up and read the instructions for post surgery - it said not to lay flat- to sleep propped up.. Well, so much for that.. I woke up with a mouth full of bloody gauze. I took 2 pain pills after that- that was it... I did not need anymore. I recovered nicely..

Take care to not do anything which might dislodge the clot(s) and cause dry socket, which can be painful.

I had three or four taken out at the same time. I was so sick from the pain meds and all the blood I swallowed. Cheeks like a chipmunk for a week. Awful.

Haha. I actually had the same situation, and I was too 22 at the point. I know perfectly well what you are talking about, they even managed to smash some extra teeth too in the process. I was walking through the city with a bleeding mouth when I tried to walk home. My face got really swollen in the next days as well. I looked like a hideous monster - so there's at least something you can look forward to happen to you as well.

Well... I had mine pulled later in life... age 25. I only had 3... although one kept attempting to break through the gum and just wouldn't, I believe I was living on Tylenol for like a month. Finally, one day... I just crouched into a corner... crying and screaming... "SOMEBODY CUT MY FUCKIN HEAD OFF!!!" The next day or so... I went in and had them pulled. I now live happily ever after.

I have a high tolerance for pain I mean ... I can't recall anything more painful.

I had all four of mine out when I was 25! It's not fun, I know!

But I am so glad I had it done, it's nice not to have to worry about them anymore. I had a general anesthetic, which was a good thing, I didn't want to be awake for the whole thing. It is sore afterwards, but it's worth it compared to the pain I would have when they would start growing and pushing through the gum.

I don't miss them one bit, be glad they're out!
