had the gas... LOVED the gas had all four out at once kept the two that came out intact the other two broke when the dentist pulled them didn't fill the pain Rx - thought i would see how i did on ibuprofen and i was fine... of course my memories of the discomfort are dulled now i think i was rather sore for a couple days your teeth will shift around over the next couple of years... no one warned me about that at times your bite is so messed up you can't really chew at all but eventually they settle down i'm glad they are out

I had three pulled a couple years ago when I was 22. They were so lodged in and were causing such inflammation and pain that the surgeon gave me an IV that knocked me out! He plugged it in and I was conked in five seconds flat. But those five seconds, let me tell you... Heaven can't compare. It was childlike bliss. If I ever find out what they gave me, I'm going to acquire some with any means necessary. Did you have the IV or gas? Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Oh, it sounds like the gas.
Hope the pain leaves swiftly. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Had all mine done all at once also. Great high.
Don't remember any pain as I put my prescription to good use. The oral surgeon must have been really good because I didn't have much swelling afterwards at all. The only dicey part was the irrigation tool (to keep the extraction areas clean) I had to use daily. tA Tribal Disorder

Haha. I actually had the same situation, and I was too 22 at the point. I know perfectly well what you are talking about, they even managed to smash some extra teeth too in the process. [Edited 6/15/06 14:23pm]

I had all 4 pulled when I was 32 years old. I was completely out during the procedure. I do not remember the drive home or my husband going throught the drive through of the pharmacy to get my pain pills. He said I talked to him... He dropped me off at home and went to work. I went in and laid down and slept for 6 hours- got up and read the instructions for post surgery - it said not to lay flat- to sleep propped up.. Well, so much for that.. I woke up with a mouth full of bloody gauze. I took 2 pain pills after that- that was it... I did not need anymore. I recovered nicely..

I had three or four taken out at the same time. I was so sick from the pain meds and all the blood I swallowed. Cheeks like a chipmunk for a week. Awful.

Take care to not do anything which might dislodge the clot(s) and cause dry socket, which can be painful.

I had all 4 of mine taken out at the same time. I remember Rachel taking me to the car, and I was pretty wide awake after that. Heck, we even went shopping for a while right after we got back home.
