Dinner, a walk, talk. b) how important is it for your date to wear cologne, and do you have a favorite? I love men who wear cologne, but not to much. c) what if he brings flowers on the first date?...good, or overdoing it? Flowers are always welcome...

Dinner or drinks...gives time to talk... b) how important is it for your date to wear cologne, and do you have a favorite? I love a good smelling man, but if he isn't wearing cologne, I won't hold it against him (or maybe I will... heh..) c) what if he brings flowers on the first date?...good, or overdoing it? Flowers are such a sweet, old-fashioned gesture...my heart would melt. d) does he have to open your car door? Doesn't have to, but I always notice if he does 
e) does the guy always have to call you?...would you call him after the first date, just to say hi, if you had a good time, or is it up to the guy to call.. I'll call...but, I always wonder about "the rules" (would he think I'm too aggressive...?) | |

a) what would be a good first date for you...?...a movie?...dinner?...a show? Something relaxing...an easy dinner and a jazz club afterwards...definitely you want an environment where you can talk without the distraction of other rowdy people around you or overly loud music
b) how important is it for your date to wear cologne, and do you have a favorite? I like cologne....but be discreet with it c) what if he brings flowers on the first date?...good, or overdoing it? Flowers are good, but do not be pretentious and go overboard...a nice, natural (not 'arranged') bouquet is perfect d) does he have to open your car door? Of course e) does the guy always have to call you?...would you call him after the first date, just to say hi, if you had a good time, or is it up to the guy to call.. Some ladies are weird about that, however I would not hesitate to call, but I, personally, am not very outgoing, so I would tend to be understated at first GOOD LUCK! Movie & dinner worx. Do the movie first, then have dinner, that way u can discuss the movie and get 2 know each other b) how important is it for your date to wear cologne, and do you have a favorite? I'm the same az applekisses.....I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a nice smellin' man! But don't bathe in the cologne c) what if he brings flowers on the first date?...good, or overdoing it? Flowers r EXCELLENT! BUT be careful she is not allergic...the date would suck with her violently sneezin' the rest of the night

b) how important is it for your date to wear cologne, and do you have a favorite? Not important, and I don't really have a favorite. Nothing overpowering. Sometimes fabric softener and a clean sweat smell the best. I have had exes that smelled divine though, but I don't think I ever paid attention to what they wore. c) what if he brings flowers on the first date?...good, or overdoing it? It kinda depends... a dozen roses on the first date woud be WAY overdoing it. A small bouquet of daisies would be sweet.
d) does he have to open your car door? certainly doesn't have to, but it's nice. e) does the guy always have to call you?...would you call him after the first date, just to say hi, if you had a good time, or is it up to the guy to call..  this is a tough one. I'm gonna say generally I prefer him to call me but mainly cause even after several dates i can still be incredibly shy. I realized recently that guys kind of have to work for me. And it's not intentional, it's just how I am. On the other hand, once I'm comfortable, I'll likely do all the calling.

I think he is overdoing it, but I wouldn't hold him against him since he's probably just doing what he thinks a date is supposed to do. d) does he have to open your car door?Um, no. I am an able bodied person, fully capable of opening car doors on my own. e) does the guy always have to call you?...would you call him after the first date, just to say hi, if you had a good time, or is it up to the guy to call.. a) what would be a good first date for you...?...a movie?...dinner?...a show? Something low-key. Dinner is nice because there's an activity there to fill lulls in conversation, but you can still converse, and there is a pretty clear end to it where you can decide to call it a night if you want to.
b) how important is it for your date to wear cologne, and do you have a favorite? Smelling good is a big turn-on, but it wouldn't have to be cologne. Though, Michael Kors kinda makes me wanna. . .  
c) what if he brings flowers on the first date?...good, or overdoing it? It would never be a BAD thing -- hard to go wrong with being too considerate on a first date. But I think it's nicer if it's somebody who actually knows you and is giving them out of genuine affection, rather than just to impress you or whatever. d) does he have to open your car door? I would say that he should do that only if he's going to keep doing it. I would never notice if a guy didn't open car doors for me ever. But I WOULD notice if he did it for the first few dates (or weeks, or decades) and then stopped. Better to just not start.
e) does the guy always have to call you?...would you call him after the first date, just to say hi, if you had a good time, or is it up to the guy to call.. I wouldn't hesitate to call, though it's nice when somebody makes it a point to let you know they enjoy(ed) your company. Of course, with the type of company I keep, it's likely email anyway, which feels like less of a big deal. f) how do you feel about going dutch?..i.e., you offer to pay for half the date? I always offer. But I'm po', so if he insists, I'm appreciative. I've had relationships where finances were equal and we paid equally, where he made more and we paid equally, and where he made more and always paid.
