What is your favourite word right now? .
Sometimes I come across a word that is so damn useful, descriptive or just plain funky-sounding that it starts popping up in every other sentence I say. It's like a killer species that devours all competition, which might be good if we're talking vices for example, but not so good if we're talking about vocabulary. Anyway, my latest addiction is... ....drumroll.... ...."railroaded". As in "It wasn't my fault, I was railroaded into her bedroom" or "Don't blame me, this heat is railroading me to the ice cream parlor". Beautiful, isn't it? You can easily visualize how the cold steel of the railroad tracks inevitably lead you to one place and one place only, without any options. Everybody will understand how impossible it was for you to come to any other conclusion, and will hopefully sympathize with your predicament. I should extend my gratitude to Fauxie, who kindly introduced me to this word when he casually dropped it into an e-mail explaining his situation. Now, orgers....what is your favourite word at the moment? .

Can it be a swear word? "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

Of course. You can say I railroaded you into it.

Oh fuck!* Wait a minute..... Come to think of it, it's more like a phrase. I guess that doesn't qualify then ?
*"Oh fuck" is not it In case you were wondering "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

Now, orgers....what is your favourite word at the moment? . I did? Cool. I guess my current favourite is 'procrastinate'. I will get back to your email, I promise. But seriously, while that's a nice word, I'm currently feeling the word 'indefatigable'. I have also been known to horribly overuse the word 'mordacious' around these parts. ... Hope you're having a blast Moshi moshi You remember where I am. I wish I could say I'm enjoying Japan, I really do, but it's kind of like one of those evil five-year-old rascals; you want to think they're cute and sweet and all that but they just keep giving you hell. Or maybe "hell" is a bit of an exaggeration, but the Japanese culture sure isn't very accomodating. Even though I've been here for a few months, I still feel like I'm observing it at a distance rather than from the inside as a participant. What the heck is a "Tathastu"?

Don't worry, it took me ages to respond to your epic so you can definitely take your time without feeling guilty. I have also been known to horribly overuse the word 'mordacious' around these parts.
No wonder, there are quite a few mordacious little buggers on here. Somebody should moderate the hell out of them so we can enjoy a personality-free org.

Oh mate You may have just be in between troughs at the moment. Isn't there many other workers from abroad there that you can talk with. They may have had similar experiences whilst settling into the country. You could chill and hang with them then slowly start to assimilate with everyone. Japan looks attractive to me. I'd like to visit it one day. I guess being a tourist and actually living and working there are two very different experiences. I'm sure things will look up soon mate Anyway, sorry, back to your original question. Ta'thas'tu... I don't quite know what it means, it's Sanskrit. But it rolls off my tongue beautifully It's my favourite at the moment. Tathastu! Well, there are only seven non-Brazilian foreigners in Iwata and they're all weirdos, but it was a good idea in theory. Japan looks attractive to me. I'd like to visit it one day. That's exactly it. I definitely wouldn't mind being a tourist here, but to live here is a very, very big challenge. It's what I call an "Eiffel Tower Syndrome" - not much fun while you're doing it, but really nice to have done at some point and remember afterwards. I'm sure things will look up soon mate
They already are. I've quit my job and will look for something better. If I can't find anything I'll just go back home. I'm too old to not be the captain of my own life. Thank you very much for caring! .
