I'm trying to quite smoking myself in the next month or so.
But I admit how much I dearly love it. And it's all the things mentioned. I love the ritual of it. I love opening a new pack, and tearing away the cellophane. I love the first whiff of tobacco when you pull the foil back. I adore pulling the first one out and casually holding on to it for a minute or two before lighting it. And matches are indeed far superior. Preferably wooden matches in a box. The sulpher smell. The strike when it lights. The first hard pull into your lungs.

When I quit smoking I put on 30kgs in about 6 months. I started again and lost it all
