I've started smoking fags while sober. At the age of 26. I think it quite suits me. My granny smoked 40 a day since she was 13 and she just turned 94 last week, so my genetics are proficient. I find a wee fag relaxes me and I also think fantasic thoughts when I exhale and close my eyes.
But. Am I a moron for starting so late? I always thought it was silly smoking anything without a drug wrapped inside but it seems I underestimated nicotine.

i tend to have "brilliant" poetical ideas when i smoke
fcuz, it's only me who thinks they're brilliant. lol.. but without smoking the ideas just vaporise. i went on a 7 month break and didn't write a single line!! went to the supermarket, picked up a pack, opened it, puffed 5 ciggies at once and wrote a dozen poems, lol. i wish i could kick it though. i'm coughing up oil and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Lighters are for for people who watch wrestling and look forward to barbecues and ball games. I'm a match man. Sulphur is sexy and I enjoy the ritual of sliding open the wee box, tearing out a match and teasing it down the sandpaper. Wooooosh! Fire. Wonderful. God bless those wee Indian orphans on $1 a week.

Quit while your ahead! I'm certainly an idiot, but I think starting smoking might be the best idea I've ever had. I look like Bowie and think thoughts like Dylan. Man.

I'd like to suck on Jeniffer Aniston's chin. I want to be the one to tell her everything's gonna be okay, to lie to her about her hopes and fears. I want to be her future hate figure, cause all good things they say never last.

I felt like Julian Cope, under the turtle shell, fried, tied and souldied. But I'm fine now with my fags and red wine and magnificent hair..

Ex-Moderator | I'm trying to quite smoking myself in the next month or so.
But I admit how much I dearly love it. And it's all the things mentioned. I love the ritual of it. I love opening a new pack, and tearing away the cellophane. I love the first whiff of tobacco when you pull the foil back. I adore pulling the first one out and casually holding on to it for a minute or two before lighting it. And matches are indeed far superior. Preferably wooden matches in a box. The sulpher smell. The strike when it lights. The first hard pull into your lungs. oh, I've got to quite smoking. |

The dying part isn't really why I would advise people to smoke. I started when I was 15 and quit at 25. B4 quitting I was about 105lbs, I gained about 20lbs almost IMMEDIATLEY after quitting, that was almost 2 yrs ago and I STILL am probably 10 lbs heavier than when I started smoking. For me that wasn't worth the years of smoking. Another thing, u don't realize how much it STINKS until you become a NON smoker. Then theres the money u save by quitting, u don't have to wait an extra hour for a table in the smoking section at restuarants any more.....the list just goes on and on! Dude, if u wanna smoke.....then smoke.....I'm just sayin' if your not addicted yet, u should quit now, cuz it's next to impossible to quit once u are.

I can't speak 4 anyone else, but I woulda rathered smoke than eat, and most times I did just that. Once I quit smoking, I had no choice but to take eating back up.

Honestly, that's a terrible picture. I look smug and poncy. It's only there because of Spongebob and my favourite jacket and the fact I was in an airport, my favourite place.
