Remember These...? Inspired by a remark someone made last night...
Remember when you were a kid and you had all those stupid phrases?? Here are some: ~ Want a sweet? Suck my feet! ~ Want a lolly? Buy a dolly. ~ Want some toast? See a ghost. I think my favourite was when I used to call my sister a 'pig'. She'd retort: 'Pig is an animal. Animal is nature. Nature is beautiful. Thank you for the compliment'. (Then we'd have a ten minute argument about how I was NOT complimenting her Share your childhood phrases here... [Edited 6/13/06 3:56am]

When I told my mate that 'Pig is an animal...' thing, she reckoned that - as a kid, if someone called you a 'pig' - apparently it stands for:
'Pretty Intelligent Girl'.

my sister told this old lady my mum looked after at the geriatric centre "do you want a lolly?"
"oh! why, yes please dear!" said the old lady, delighted "go to bed and kiss your dolly" says my sister (who was about 5 or 6 at the time)
