Prince might be a dickhead, but Purple Rain should be in the top ten.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

doh! My eyes instantly went to the 70s. lol McCabe & Mrs. Miller is a great film with a really superb soundtrack. You liked Wall Street more than Platoon, huh? JFK would also be at or near the top of my 90s list as well.

80's/New York, Talking Heads Song, Gordon Gecko has really great dialogue, and to me it's a movie and about class and power; who runs things, I love those kind of movies.

Looking at the 40s list. Glad to see Rebecca on there. Probably my fave Hitchcock film (that or North by Northwest or Rear Window). Sullivan's Travels is excellent. As far as Preston Sturges is concerned, I really love The Lady Eve. It's beautifully funny, and Barbara Stanwyck remains one of the most underappreciated comedic actresses.

It's a good flick. I like her better in the comedy Ball of Fire, even though Lady Eve is a slightly better movie.

That's a great flick isn't it? I saw that in the movies. No pretence at all in that movie, but the script was really sure of itself.

I was in high school when it came out and my two friends and I went to see it in the theater. They hated it; and I was so moved by it that my face had swelled up from the amount of blubbering I experienced. dunce My eyes become extremely red and puffy when I cry. Well, when I got home, my dad gave me the 10th degree and thought I'd been out partying and was high. I tried to tell him where I'd been, even showed him my ticket stub, but I was still grounded for two weeks!

Anyway, I bought the DVD and I've only watched it once due to the stress it puts my poor face through. Watch it another time or two and my eyes'll probably pop out. evil

I understand what you mean, though probably only on a more shallow level. I'm no Cinephile. My favorite movies are usually deemed as absolute crap by the general public and critics alike. I did like The Dreamers and Coffee and Cigarettes though, as two flicks from the '00s. Michael Pitt naked in one, Iggy Pop in the other, and great soundtracks on both.
