we called it a rat tail where i grew up, and um...well..kinda sorta yeah, but then i cut it off when i decided i wanted duran duran hair.

I am guilty of having a "tail" when I was a teen. My hair was super short and the tail was down my back...for my junior prom I dyed it to match my sea blue gown...Yikes! I cut it off during my Senior year of high school, that was also the year I decided tro stop with the Annie Lennox hair and grow it out...

i had a tail that was dyed blonde and pretty long

Had all kinds of "trendy haircuts.....when I had hair

I had the tail

Had the ducktail

Had a mullet

Had a perm....

Have nadda damn thing anymore.....

I tried gowing a flat one that I had my sister (a hair-stylist) try & color like a Puerto Rican flag, so that whenever I ran, it would wave.

This was during my 2 month "Beat-Street" phase.
One time, I caught a glimpse of myself from the reflection off of a store window while being chased by a cop for 'taggin''.
While I was able to elude the officer, the chase resulted in me throwing away my spray-cans forever & the gay image I saw in that reflection resulted in me cutting off that monsrtosity of a hair-don't. I have never looked back since.

I still wear Adidas.

i had both, the duck tail and the rat tail. but not at the same time. i was totally into the outsiders when i was a kid so that explains the duck tail but i look back and never understand the rat tail.

My dad had one...a hundred years ago.
I think my mom called it a DA (duck's ass)

'Rat's tail' where I come from too.

And I tried growing one at one point. Although mine looked more like a shrew's tail.

I had a tail and a mullet. The mullet back then was called "Mini Truck-Driver Hair". Oy vey!!!
