lol and hey... superstore has 512 sd cards on for $30 right now ($50 with $20 mail in rebate)... the 1 Gb are $80 with $18 mir... (although the sign at my store had them regular at $72)

I did not have to install the software cd. Just plug one end to the camera and the other end to a usb port, turn on the camera and a wizard will come up. Follow the wizard and then your pics should go into your "mypictures" folder.

Don't forget you will also need a memory card for another $50 or so for a reasonable sized one. 32 mb will hold about 8 pics.

I love Olympus cameras, too - I have an omega 2 film camera from the 70s! - but I went with Panasonic because of that darn lens. It just makes such a difference. I think I ended up buying it for $325 or so. Not bad, considering it'll last me a good couple of years.

It makes me giddy you love my camera, too! Fauxie, you have great taste.

Just remember that you'll have to purchase rechargable batteries and the charger for them as well.
Another thing you should make note of is how big the memory card is that comes with the camera. They always include the smallest memory card with cameras these days. See if you can get them to throw in a bigger memory card for you.

well bg909 had a digi cam that was manhandled on his way to see me last time so i got the memory card from that one and eventually yes i'll get a card, maybe even today
so i'm set
it comes with it's own batteries but until ican afford the charger i'll just be buying highend quality batteries to keep me going

and the memory card bg909 gave me was a 256 one, so i think im good for now, but i think i might pick up 1 gig soon, theres this pc store here thats selling it for only 50$ so why not, ill be using one HELLUVA alot of this camera
