Could you PLEASE take your clothes out of the dryer! OOOH. One of my pet peeves is people who use the washer or dryer and leave their clothes in them for a later time. I have this neighbor who does this ALL THE TIME. Doesn't matter...in the washer ...in the dryer...whatever. And he leaves them down there for days! By the time he gets them there is like a huge pile on the dryer. He's the only one who does this. I'm like "HELLO!" this isn't your home or washer/dryer...you can't JUST LEAVE your clothes lying about!" And it's not only his stuff, but his GF's too.
OK I know I have all done this at one time or another...but not consistantly. I don't want anyone to touch my underwear anymore than I want to touch theirs of their GF's!!!! Christian Zombie Vampires

I've always found it shocking when I see in American TV shows how you share the washing machines.
It would be so strange here

There are three washer/dryers for my entire floor at my school, so I've come up with a very simple (albeit evil) solution: Dump their laundry all over the filthy concrete floor.
I figure eventually all the idiots who are still stuck thinking Mommy will take care of their laundry will get the message.

YES!
I believe, if you have laundry, and you want to do your laundry, the cycle (wash, dry, put away) is one cycle. Keep that shit clear for others that need to do laundry. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

And I like my neighbor. I do think it's time for a note though...stuck in his clothes. Christian Zombie Vampires

If I was you I'd steal her underwear! Won't help solve your problem, but, er, at least you'll have her underwear.

i would get a box or a bag to put the clothes in
and leave a note saying something like "i've been checking the dryer since yesterday morning and could not wait any longer to use the machine! next time if you can't remove your clothes when they are dry perhaps leave your basket so that i can finish my own wash" there does that sound too bitchy?

Oh we take em out and put them on the dryer. I no longer throw them into the dryer if they are wet. Let em mold. Christian Zombie Vampires

ohmigod, YES! lazy, unattentive bastards who leave their stuff in the washers/dryers after they've been done for hours is one of my absolute biggest pet peeves. worst thing with my living situation is that in my building there's like 40-some odd units...and only 2 washers and 2 dryers for all of us to use at any given point. so yeah, you gotta wake up early on a weekend to get your clothes washed...not to mention it's hell when one of the washers or one of the dryers isn't working, so chances are you won't be able to wash your stuff at all because of lazy butt-cheeses leaving their shit in there!!!! GAAAAHHHH!!!!!
if stuff's in the dryer when i gotta put my load in, i'll take it outta there and fold it all and sit it on top of the dryer and then put my stuff in. there's other people who'll do the same thing but just put yer clothes into one big heap on the dryer--me, i'm nice.

I figure eventually all the idiots who are still stuck thinking Mommy will take care of their laundry will get the message. i've done that from time to time when i was in college recently i had a roomate who would leave her laundry on the line for days. at first i would just bring it into her room and then she would dump it all over the floor and walk all over it and lord knows what. so after that i would just throw it on the old table that's in our garage. some of it is still there even though she's moved out.

GOD yes! I dont think my flatmate knows that wet washing comes out of the machine, I think he thinks it comes from off of the table where I put it!!
And then he has the cheek to say "well you dont have to take it out!" I need to put washings on too!!!!! every single time. Theres washing of his in there now.

This used to happen alot at my apartment. There's mostly women in the building I live in, and I felt funny taking their clothes out and throwing them on the counter when there's all kinda of panties and bras and stuff. That's all I need for them to start accusing me of being a pervert or something.
We also have this wench that lives on the same floor as the machines, who will come out and pull the plug on the machine if you are doing your laundry in the evenings because she doesn't want to be disturbed by the sound. I tricked her one night because she thought I went back upstairs, when really I was standing outside of the laundry room, and watched her come out of her aparment and do it. Then I confronted her about it and asked her what the hell was wrong with her, and showed her the sign stating that we could use the machines all the way up to 10 oclock. She hasn't done it since

OMG, THAT is some cold shit My building has one on every floor, thank God. But I'm very used to having my own washer/dryer, this shit is new to me. I went to wash today & there were "particles" in the washer AND dryer I didn't have time to do a bleach only cycle so I wiped it out several times w/ disinfectant wipes & prayed none of that shit would live in my clothes I try to wash all my shit in one shot & hog that mf ALL DAY if I have to - is that bad neighbor etiquette?? Like I said this is new to me so I truly don't know But when people want in they just leave a basket in the room so I know not to do another load, I can take the hint AND I set my timer so I always know when the washer/dryer is finished, I never leave my clothes in. I'm a good neighbor, right? Right?? . [Edited 6/9/06 5:07am]

That's not a bad idea, LOL. Donate the clothes to your local GoodWill or Salvation Army. Leave a little note in tha laundry room indicating that it was obvious the person no longer needed the clothes, since they havent' come back for them in days, so you took it upon yourself to dontate them to charity and help thos in need.
