June 8th 2006. The Org Report. So what's new people? What's News worthy from the org or from your lives?
I'm stuck in the weather void. You know that inner clock we all have? The one that tells us what season it is? Well since I moved to Phoenix Az, that clock gets really screwy around this time of year. I'm just comming off a week+ of 110* tempetures, and I want to believe it's somewhere around late August. Because growing up that's the hottest time of the season. However it will just keep getting hotter and hotter here for a while. The worst thing about it is if you want to go out to a couple of places, you have to try to find shaded parking because other wise when you get back into your car, even the airconditioner at fullblast will not help you. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

The only news I have it that I went to the PinkPop festival
last saturday/sunday/monday and saw the following perform: Morrissey (i hate morrissey but have to admit it was 2 wicked) Placebo (my favs. good show, an a great performance all round) Nelly Furtado (surprised me and did a very good/cool show) dEUS (with Mauro Pawlowski *drool*) Red Hot Chilli Peppers (main act, closed the festival monday) Franz Ferdinand (pretty cool show, some great tunes) Kaiser Chiefs (great great great show. audience went nuts) Tool (fuckers didn't want to be shown on the big screen) and a whole host more but i actually forgot some since there was too much to take in, in just 3 days. great festival once again after its been down in the dumpster for a few years now. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

IstenSzek said: Tool (fuckers didn't want to be shown on the big screen) what exactly is the deal with this band? I hear everybody raving about them and their gig at Pinkpop is said to be the best on the festival (together with Morrissey).....so I did something illegal: I've downloaded their last album, '10.000 days' and started to listen to it..... It seems that I can't sit through one song without feeling exhausted afterwards.....

Or maybe I should start thinking about changing my diet.

It seems that I can't sit through one song without feeling exhausted afterwards..... they were the last gig of the day on sunday. so 40,000 people stood there watching the main stage. there was no way anyone in the back was gonna be able to see anything but the big screen on which every single band on the festival saturday and sunday had thus far been shown. somehow, Tool took clips of their video's and some weird animation stuff, and projected it on the screen. so no images of the show at all. that was the first major let down. the second one was their show don't get me wrong, i like old Tool and the new Tool is still kinda ok. but the show was only so-so and in fact I left 30 minutes early cuz I figured I would rather be first to get to my car and be able to get out without stress than watch Tool finish the gig. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
