ladies... is it waxing season for you yet?

with apologies to charlotte, ocean and littlemissy who are just heading into winter... sad

i shaved my legs today and thought afterward... that was silly, i should have just got out my cold wax and started the summer season biggrin

how about you?
do you wax all year?
just once in a while?
do it at home or treat yourself at the salon?
maybe you have never waxed??

i am also planning a trip to the salon for some other waxing soon redface
but am a little nervous about the whole procedure
not the waxing itself... i actually don't mind the pain
just the whole "having someone else remove your body hair" kinda thing

men can share their stories too if you go get your bum waxed or something giggle

I was thinking the same thing. Gonna try waxing. Rather do it myself. Some good products out there.

I don't wax, I shave every day.

I don't like the idea of having to wait for the hair to be long enough to wax.

I'm just starting to make waxing part of my routine (full leg & bikini). I've shaved up to now but I just don't wanna be bothered with it this summer. I'll probably do it less often in the winter though shrug

My back biggrin I used to shave it every three days with an adaptable back scrubber but now it's just easier to get it waxed every other week.

I'm used to the pain now.

I've never waxed my legs. hmmm
Frankly, I'm quite lucky in the leg hair department. I honestly only shave if I know someone's gonna see them, and with as pale as I am, even in the summer, that's quite rare. And I never shave above my knee. I simply don't have hair on my thighs. Well, there's hair, but it's like the hair on the back of your hand, only visible if you're looking really, really closely.
As for waxing other, er, areas, I generally only do that if I know someone's gonna see that also. redface Although I do keep nice and trimmed and I use a cream remover for a nice bikini line.

my mum's leg hairs are practically non-existent! eek so she never taught me anything about hair-removal sad

My mother didn't teach me a thing about hair removal either, but mainly cause she just doesn't care about that kinda thing. She never, ever wears make up and she has no fashion sense whatsoever. I love her, but we're very, very different women. I think she was a tomboy growing up. I had to learn all the girly stuff from friends and by experimenting on my own. It's funny now, though, cause I'm the one teaching her about this stuff. When she finally grew enough hair back to do something with after her chemo last year, I took her to my stylist for a makeover. We waxed her brows, colored and cut away. It was fun, and I think she enjoyed being girly for once. smile
