do0-it-yourself home improvement gone projects gone wrong

anybody else feel motivated by all these "why pay somebody when you can do it yourself" shows on tv where you fix some nagging problem in your house? i tried this shit and now i have adhesive glue all over my computer room floor (from trying to lay down some new wood-look rubber tile) and i had to pull up all the carpet in my hallway next to that room because i kept tracking glue on the carpet mad

next time, i'm paying somebody to do this shit lol

i'll have to check back with you after this weekend. been on a painting kick at my mom's cabin so's to make it nice for the famnily reunion coming up; painted the interior walls 2 wks ago, painted the screen porch last wknd, this wknd i'll be sanding, sealing and painting the porch floor. not to mention building an addition onto the outside porch for hand washing, etc.

hopefully, i'll get it right and the paint won't peel right off after a hard rain and the ledge won't blow off in a stiff wind. confused smile
