You will like We were the Mulvaneys. I read it a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Still reading "The Mammoth Hunters".

OMG, that picture is so Jacqueline Susann! It's 60s model Verushka. She was also in Blow Up. Have you seen it? I'm sort of obsessed with 60s models. (coincidentally, and there are lot of these today, Jimmy Page was in that movie as well.

That's what sucks about the public library, and there's nothing they can really do about it. It's the new books that have a forever long wait. I remember having to wait four months for How to Eat Fried Worms when I was in nine-years-old. It was some serious delayed gratification.

You should read this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/...e&n=283155 Hugh Kenner is the greatest scholar/critic of the twentieth century, authoring groundbrreaking studies of James Joyce, Ezra Pound, Yeats, Beckett, Buckminster Fuller, and many many others. He's brilliant. One of his last books (he died a few years ago) was on Chuck Jones. It's a great read.

I read an excerpt of this on the usatoday site and was facinated, it is based on the poem by william butler yeats and the author is a former speech writer for the national endowment of the arts.
