Next week is a long way away. The world could end by then. We tend to play things over in our minds, this works us up, it can make us sick. It creates fears unfounded and in most cases unrealistic. You might imagine she's thinking "that bitch! I'm going to get gas and burn her to a chrisp." Nothing could be as far from the truth as that. She's not thinking about you at all. This isn't a marfia case hung on one witness. She's mostlikely thinking: "oh shit, I could go to jail!". We as a people tend to get self absorbed in times of stress over how this will effect "me". Don't be scared. Your just mind fucking yourself. Stop it and go with the flow. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.

Sweetness, you've got a lot of moral support here. If all the other parties involved in this seem nuts or completely apathetic, and it ever feels too overwhelming, just keep coming back to this thread and look at all the people who really do care

Apples - i wonder if there might be a way for you to simply sign an affidavit or a statement of some kind and submit this sworn testimony in lieu of a personal appearance at trial. do you have an attorney? you could call legal aid for a quick opinion on that maybe... | |

The last time I spoke with the detective, he said she was telling the circuit court judge that he and the fire chief forced the confession out of her and today he told me she's blaming it on her kids.
I think her strategy would be that if she can pin it on her kids they won't go to jail, however, I think they would be taken out of her custody. But, to be honest, I don't think she cares too much. | |

I would love to do that...I left a message for the assistant prosecutor and told her that I was there the day of the fire, but I didn't see anything and that although I had to take a day off of work and use my personal vacation time to go to court, I was wondering how I can help her. | |
