I get much sillier when I'm drunk. I'll tell jokes badly and then laugh at myself for not being able to talk right. If I'm riding in a car, I tend to yell rude things to people who are walking down the street. boxed
A few weeks ago a friend had a couple bottles of Absinthe. eek THAT was an unusual feeling. I got silly as usual but then numb, really numb.Couldn't feel my feet or hands.Everything was all gray around the edges.Still silly but very comfortable at the same time. Strange strange experience. I'd do it again. biggrin

I've had people telling me for YEARS that they're going to get me drunk sometime, and so far it hasn't happened. I'd much rather not.

Getting drunk sucks. I haven't been drunk in years. Having a few beers and getting a decent buzz is great, but anything past that point I hate. When I have a buzz on I'm just a slightly more relaxed and smiley version of my everyday self. biggrin

I don't do drunk, but once I have had a few, I tend to become a more humorous and carefree version of my self.

I like to listen to music and dance around with my cocktail in my hand. Put on some vintage soul like Aretha Franklin's "Rock Steady" or Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give It Up" and I'm off and runnin'...oooh, or maybe some crazy disco like "Night Fever" or Joe Tex's "I Ain't Going to Bump No More With No Big Fat Woman" and my house suddenly becomes Disco Ottensen lol. If I'm out though, the dj's here love to play Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy", and if I'm drunk, that IS the song to make me leave somebody mid-sentence and head out to the dance floor... lol and the crazy part is, I HATE for people to start dancing with me! If it's not my husband or one of my friends, I get so offended, like "if this sucker doesn't move the HELL away from me...!!" I'm telling you, I am terrible!

A COUPLE OF BOTTLES????

Aren't you supposed to sort of sip on Absinthe lol ???? That's why they outlawed it in the States, people used to just drown themselves in the stuff and go nuts lol lol lol

...actually that's only partially true; a lot of cheap liquor companies used to cut the real absinthe with low grade moonshine that had the alcoholic equivilent of jet fuel....still the stuff made people so nuts that they outlawed it in the U.S. But since I've moved to the EU, a little nip once a year from a top shelf bar is always very pleasant cool

I've never been drunk either. i've never had more than one drink at a time and usually that just makes me more talkative and a little silly.

A few months ago we drove up to Vancouver, and while we were there, we had some absinth, as it's been legalized in British Columbia. Overall, it felt like, well, alcohol. But there was a certain... clarity?... to my thinking instead of the usual feeling of my brain getting cloudy. This "secondary effect" -- which other people report experiencing -- was subtle, but noticeable.
