A real intellectual read....
It's a bit dated though as it was written 10 years ago now. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I'm sort of obsessed with 60s models. (coincidentally, and there are lot of these today, Jimmy Page was in that movie as well. ) "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

That's what sucks about the public library, and there's nothing they can really do about it. It's the new books that have a forever long wait. I remember having to wait four months for How to Eat Fried Worms when I was in nine-years-old. It was some serious delayed gratification.

You should read this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/...e&n=283155 Hugh Kenner is the greatest scholar/critic of the twentieth century, authoring groundbrreaking studies of James Joyce, Ezra Pound, Yeats, Beckett, Buckminster Fuller, and many many others. He's brilliant. One of his last books (he died a few years ago) was on Chuck Jones. It's a great read.

I read an excerpt of this on the usatoday site and was facinated, it is based on the poem by william butler yeats and the author is a former speech writer for the national endowment of the arts.
