These girls who fucking moan when they change their hair don't have a clue what the industry is like; they're almost as out-to-lunch as the homophobic contestants (yes, you never deal with any gay people in the fashion industry ). If I'm hiring you and I want to paint your hair pink with yellow polka dots, you'll do it or I'll hire somebody else. What part of "They're going to fuck with your hair" do they not understand? perthaps they think modelling is about "them" as opposed to the designer/clients/industry. You have to reach the dizzy heights of Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss before you become sought after for being who you are and not just another model. .. [Edited 6/3/06 11:58am]

With some of these girls, I can see why it's so traumatic to them, as ANTM usually wants to radically change their look just for dramatic effect. Sometimes, they are right to be horrified about what they've done. But, yes, this could happen with a client as well and you have to suck it up and work it. Have I mentioned CNTM has just premiered? I've only had a chance to watch a bit of it so far, but it looks a little low-budge. And the girls are pretty lame. Horribly bungled opportunity as there are tons of world-class production houses here and we're known for producing some of the top stars in the industry. Daria Werbowy, ,Linda Evangelista, Shalom Harlow, Tasha Tilberg, Yasmeen Ghauri, Erin Wasson, Monika Schnarre, Estella Warren and Tricia Helfer, among others, have all come out of this country (the latter's hosting the show, incidentally). P.S.. Who the hell is Cat Deeley?

But you'll be happy to know that Tyra tries the "Mia" again in the following cycle, this time to great effect w/Mollie Sue: They also gave Sara a wicked cut,but she was too fucking square to realize it : The haircut looks great in the first picture, I think very short hair can look fantastic on some women. yeah....like Annie Lennox. Annie's facial features are so strong that she could be bald and still be striking Annie pic. added [Edited 6/3/06 12:46pm] looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Being that I have short hair, I never understand the drama. I went out and cut off 9 inches of hair to a short cut myself. Women are very close to theri hair, it represents them or something. i myself, look HOT with short or long hair. Dude, it's dead cellular stuff (Ok so its been 5 years since college). Just put on a wig or weave. I do. But I love women that have short hair, it just tells the world we have extrodinary personality.

Ive had short hair and long hair, right now its long, if I had to cut it as part of my job I would. ..its just that changing your hair/look is a part of what these girls do for a living and it isnt something that they didnt expect and sometimes a radical new look looks great on them. They are being groomed to look like catwalk models, oh well...its just something I noticed on the show.

I meant to post on this the other day when the org was trippin
I think so many of these broads come into the competition thinking they're SO fucking cute & amazing already (I mean HELLO, they think they should be models ) so they're shocked to realize what's worked for them up to this point (whatever look they have going) is as sacred to the industry as an outfit to try on... NEXT!! That's why they throw fits, they don't wanna part w/ what they think is an already fabulous self. And I'm glad that pug-nosed beauty queen bitch left, she was destined to be WACK The "Mia" cut on Molly Sue was awesome, I still wish they hadn't let her go so soon
